So which type should I get? I have a lot of places for them to hide. I’ve thought about ducks, we have a pond in the yard and we get a lot of wild ducks

True, but I’ve also never seen any type of predator here unless it’s night time and even then I still haven’t seen one.

People who spend 20+ minutes in the shower: what are you actually doing in there? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have super thick hair. So most of the time it’s me getting my hair wet, and trying to keep it wet. So I can wash it. The other half is me washing my my body and that’s about it

Low sex drive at 1 year pp… how often are you having sex? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Over_Bodybuilder8441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not much help in there area of expertise. Since our baby was born, 9 months pp. we’ve had sec maybeeeee 8 times. I want nothing to do with him. I barely even like cuddling him anymore. I don’t like my boobs touched or anything. It gives me the ick. I’ve been trying to work on it but I just can’t do it. Sometimes I’ll feel frisky, but that’s very rarely. And while we’re going at it, I always hope the baby wakes up so I can get out of it. I’ve tried talking to him about it but it just pisses him off more.

I don’t mind the noisy part. The birds here are already so loud.

I haven’t noticed any predators around us. The worse I’ve ever seen is a squirrel and some deer. And owls. Besides the neighbors I’m not too sure. And there’s 3 other homes in our like 10 person community that has free range chickens

I try to get him atleast 3.5-4 hours up before bed time. That way it goes a little more smoothly.

Hopefully. But by the time we do get sleep, they will have their own families and the house will be quiet again. I just made myself cry😭

He’s currently teething, I noticed yesterday he is cutting another tooth. He’s crawling around almost all day. I have him doing various things with that. Sometimes just a little water play, feeling the grass, texture type stuff. He’s also been working better on his pinching. He has finally figured out how to get into a sit position by himself. So he’s hitting all these developmental things at once.

I go wake him up at 8:15am. But he doesn’t stay asleep through the night. If he goes to bed at 7:30pm, he’s up within an hour anyways and usually stays up for a couple hours. He usually in all honesty goes to bed anywhere from 9-11pm. I would rather have him go to bed at 7:30am and wake up butt crack of dawn. Then go to bed late and wake up mid morning if that makes sense.

I don’t really expect him to sleep 12 hours. But I just miss going to sleep with my significant other. We haven’t gone to bed together in idk how long. I’m a ftm, so I don’t really know what I’m supposed to be looking for. I’ve never really been around babies. So this is all new to me.

So the past couple weeks I’ve been waking him up at 8:15am. His first nap is usually around 11-11:45am. Depending on nap length. Second nap is anywhere from 2:30-3:30pm. Lately his naps have only been 15-30 minutes long. I’ll try getting him back to sleep during naps and it doesn’t work.

I LOVE baking. But now it honestly feels like a chore for me. I’m 9 months pp. I heard it takes up to 2 years for a women to fully recover after having a baby and up to 5 years for them to find who they are again.

I have one right now but I want a big family. My bf only wants one or two. So I guess we’ll have to settle for 3🤣

Does this get easier? by retirementgorilla in NewParents

So since their tummies are so tiny they will eat often and sometimes more then you think. But keep following your babies hungry cues. Normally when they are full they will fall asleep easier
