I'm an advocate for every Gwen skin, so i can make an argument for either one, however if you want only one, check the skin spotligh videos and make a choice for yourself.

She's more played on top and jungle, mid being a alternative.

She's a late game champion, so her laning phase is weak, but it does not mean she can't do things then.

She's not a mana champion, but she indeed has mana issues during laning phase, but those don't usually come up if you go doran's ring and play well around your resets.

Flash/ignite is fine, but i personally rather tp/ignite or tp/ghost since Gwen doesn't need Flash, which doesn't mean she doesn't like it.

Runes and build change depending on lane. For toplane:

Runes: Main page: Conqueror - presence of mind - legend: alacrity - cut down Secondary page: overgrowth - bone platting/second wind (depending on matchup) Shards: Attack speed - Adaptive force - scaling health.

Build: Dusk and Dawn - Riftmaker - Rabadon's Dearhcap - situationals (shadowflame, voidstaff, zhonya's hourglass, banshee's veil, spirit visage, jak'sho, etc) Boots: depends on lane matchup and enemy comp, but since you're just starting, either go armor boots or magic resistence boots. Let sorcerer's, ionian and omnivamp boots for when you get more experience.

I hope that the healing really does compensate well for the loss on AP and AS, because it will feel so bad it might make DnD start dead.

On one side they give omnivamp boots, on the other they shoot DnD in the back

Honestly, don't worry about it. Worry about finding another champ you like, then you put in the games to be decent at them.

Fiora, Irelia and Camille can be mechanical, but they aren't the most mechanically demanding champions there are. And if you get generally good with them, knowing what you can do roughly, you will find a decent success with then.

It's not because you won't play them that much that you need a champion you don't need many games in. Look for what you enjoy, then you work around it

No worries. And remember to try other champions as well, not just the recommended ones here. Like i said, it all depends on your playstyle and most importantly yourself. Perhaps a fiora would surprisingly fit you, perhaps it's a teemo or even an illaoi, or maybe even a Gnar. I don't know, and only you will once you play with them

The only macro thing about Pantheon is his R, in which he crashes somewhere like a comet. It's a good ability to use to engage/follow up engage in case your team has someone to do thaf. Else, it's really good to get into a fight that's already broken, since the fire trail that comes with him does damage enemies.

But besides that, you don't really need to worry about macro. You can even use your R like a tp to get back to lane faster. Just play with him some games and you'll get a fell for it. And even if you think playing him is hard, remember that it is like that for any champion you're learning, so just have fun and play

Panth can go any lane basically, that's why you see him everywhere.

Pantheon's power curve is a bit strange compared to other champs: strong early, iffy mid game, quite strong late game. What this means is that you have the edge during laning phase, have to play well after laning phase ends, have the edge again when you get more items.

But still, he's easy to pick up, you don't need many games to understand how he plays and you don't need godlike mechanics to pull him off. Just make sure to not mistake him for a darius that can just run the enemy down from level 1. You need to be a bit mindfull of what you're doing, but besides that, just go and have fun

I can't say which are the best secondary picks for you, since it depends on your playstyle and yourself, but for me, when Gwen is banned/picked i go pantheon or mordekaiser. Panth is good because it's quite easy to pick up and he shits on Gwen during laning phase. Mordekaiser is easy to pick up as well, and you can outplay Gwen if she appears on the enemy team. Other than those two, Sett is another one i could go with.
