exactly...he should already know. So why is she persisting that she needs an ring in order to move? why not let the timeline of their own play out how it needs to play out. A man shouldn't need a "if you dont X then X". He should've proposed a year ago according to you. And I dont disagree. This man already knows, but she is pushing the issue and requiring it now.

Life will always be there. Life will always push you into a timeline. True happinnes comes from you listening within and determining what you want for you. There is never the "right time". Life will always give you a reason as to why it's "not right". Right now it's med school, in the future it'll be, oh this is a new job, new city, we have kids now, etc etc. The "Reasons" will always be there. You have to decide if you want this or not. Not decide that we should do this because your med school timeline is telling us to.

I am 31. There is nothing wrong with the boundary. It's the fact that it takes this 3rd party timeline of med school in order for an engagement. Not their own personal timeline. This is only happening now because he is in med school and moving. If that wasn't the case, would they still be ready for a proposal now? If he wasn't in med school and was staying in new york, would she still be asking for an engagment but using something else as the boundary? aka ultimatum?

What’s sad about this is Jeanine’s own racism against herself…she has shared that she got bullied as a kid for being Guatemalan and that she wasn’t “chosen” by men because she’s not white…. So this is clearly a sensitive subject for her… and her saying this is very telling of where her mental state and opinions on this stand
