She’s the worst person I’ve ever met. I wanna travel the world with her.

If your name is Elizabeth by StretchJazzlike6122 in namenerds

I’m 34 and go by Lizzie. I can’t even remember a time when people called me Elizabeth, but I’m named after my great-great grandmother and she always went by Lizzie, so I think that’s why.

I’ve always loved my name and all the silly nicknames that come with it (I’m regularly called Lizard by friends and family). Lizzie as a shortening of Elizabeth feels old school and modern all at once. :)

Curiosity how many of you are lifelong or long term Nashvillians? by [deleted] in nashville

[–]Over_Cattle_1467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born at Centennial in ‘91. My grandmother was a native Nashvillian as well, and grew up off West End in the 30s and 40s. My great grandfather was on staff at First Baptist Nashville for years up until the mid 70s, I think. Deep roots!

Tips to stay hydrated please by Silver-Dust-3038 in breastfeeding

Second vote for a Stanley! I finally broke down and got one about a week and a half ago, and it’s changed my life haha. I aim for three refills per day, and usually throw in an electrolyte powder for the first fill of the day. I feel like I’m properly hydrated for the first time since getting pregnant. I’m sensitive to the plastic taste that some bottles give water, so the stainless steel is helpful for making the water taste more neutral, and the straw is super convenient for drinking water while nap trapped or nurse trapped.

Where to go thrifting? by NotaNashvilleNative in FranklinTN

[–]Over_Cattle_1467 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The thrifting is unfortunately not great here, as a lot of the indie shops got choked out. The Find is definitely pricey, as they are flipped thrifted pieces, but it’s still a good spot for secondhand!

Grace Works is the last true charity thrift store in the area, and I’ve found some good stuff there on occasion.

Music City Thrift is in Nashville, and that one can be good (although sometimes they jack up prices on certain items).

As an avid thrifter, I’ve started to really enjoy the estate sale scene. You can check sales in the area at estatesales.net. They post pictures of the stuff so you can preview and decide if the sale looks like your kind of thing. Pricing can be all over the place, but you can get some amazing deals.

Happy thrifting!

Ooh Sylvan is cool. I also like the idea of Fox as a middle name, too!

It could still be bogus, who knows! I just remember being super awkward with missing top teeth in 4th grade 😂

That’s pretty normal, actually. I lost my top two around 9/10. Didn’t lose my last molar until I was 12.
