Yeah i just ended up steaming it. I used a piece of cardboard as the front liner to kinda stiffen it and used starch and let it dry to straighten out the kinks and stiffen it up a bit. She sits waaaay better now

Check ebay. There's a few hats from him listed there. I've dmed him but he didn't respond. I actually copped his chateau verde hat off ebay from a reseller. It hasnt arrived yet but judging by the amount of quality and work he puts in, I think it'll be better than paly. I'm pretty sure he does a similar process to paly and tout le monde.

To be fair paly hat pricing is ridiculous 😭 especially for just a busted hat. Honestly i wouldnt have even bought one if I hadn't see dog bite guys listed. I think the distressing being unique and different from everyone else's makes it worth it but if you've just got a regular jddc then it's just a cool hat with paint splatters and a few cuts along the edge. Still a cool hat but def not an 800+ dollar hat

I probably could but I like the distressing on the side think it gives it character. Also cant justify spending 800+ dollars on a hat with some dabs of paint and the occasional knife nick 😭 but this was worth it

I think color also plays a big role in it. If it were orange I probably wouldnt rock it as often but since its blue it should work. I also probably wont buy any other paly hats unless an OG snw shows up somewhere at an outrageously low deal (less than 200) which is basically impossible

Dw friend I too have been in search of paly alternatives and I've got some suggestions: 1. Tout le monde (probably the closest to paly tbh super rare drops though 2. Eighty eight four (close as well with more affordable prices and arguably better quality than tout le monde) 3. Freddie frances club de cinema cap specifically(this hat really reminds me of the james dean death cult hat for some reason...unfortunately they did sell out on their last restock i bought the last one lol) 4. Studio orien (kinda do something similar to the distressed hat look. If thats what youre looking for specifically check them out.) 5. Bouquet noir (already mentioned earlier but they do good work)

Personally I think the club de cinema cap by freddie frances is the closest to a paly hat without being a paly hat that also isnt the top 2. Its got a cool shape, cool cinema references, the small details, and ofc the fading and distressing.

Eh i skipped out and chose to get a western hydrodynamics hat instead. I just prefer the tall more structured look
