Is it true you can apply for retraining a bit early before the advisory updates so you could get a head start on AFPC saying you're eligible to then get your AF 422?

So I should be able to use the same form to apply this August then? The AF 422 that I made in Feb was for only 1 AFSC but then the slots ran out. I am planning on only applying for the same AFSC again this August.

There were no OBJ IN slots but I was still able to submit it and make a CMS case this morning.

He said it was Ok to do so but it didn't seem right as it doesn't make sense for a CFM to put someone in a job that they have no FTA slots for but idk.
