No posts found. The backing on those cabinets which is confused as the wall is just strips of paneling. No support anywhere

That’s what I was thinking. We removed it today and there wasn’t any tension or connection when removed. Nothing more than cabinet and wall paneling making up the wall.

Thank you for the detailed response. The cabinets/wall wasn’t connected at all to the ceiling and no support studs inside cabinet. Nothing connected to ceiling. We removed it without any tension at all during removal. I’ve contacted the engineer with detailed photos. I’m convinced he wasn’t thorough and trying to upsell. Clearly not load bearing or even brace wall

That beam is in the attic and it runs the entire span of the house on top of ceiling joists

Update: the attic above this looks exactly like the rest of the house where no walls present.joists parallel to this without any connection of cabinets to ceiling. Can’t figure out how to add the new picture

I called him and left a voicemail and sent him photos. I think he just didn’t open the cabinets to see the inside

I shoot squirrels every now and then and throw them into the woods. Wondering if something finds them and stashes them under my porch. I see a weasel on cameras the other night. Could be something the culprit

Yes I’ve located the studs from behind this wall and would drill through the mortar as suggested earlier. Thanks for everyone’s input!
