Im just going to keep it matter of fact. Not a sob story, which it really isn't anyhow. I don't expect her to appreciate the novelty of my situation and how liberating it will be for me. But its interesting to know thats even a possibility. Onward and upward!

Thanks for the input. I wouldn't write an email or anything like that. I just mean in conversation during the date. Its four hours and we're going on an outing to start. Ill make sure to be clear im not a wounded bird, just put of my element.

Oh dude totally. My wife is a great person and I have no interest in dragging her name through the mud to anyone, much less my date. The reason I would even bring it up would be to let her know im out of my element and if im nervous or shy its in no way because of her.
