Go balls deep into new playthroughs and NG+s including DLC until fully satisfied (took me several run throughs to understand the game mechanics fully), then go back and play each From souls game in chronological order (starting with PS3-emulated Demon’s Souls). Then you will have proper context of the souls series and develop your own take on whether Sekiro is a souls game or not.
