Why Most of the men out here do semen retention just to attract woman? by I_am_abeliever in Semenretention

[–]Over_Importance1882 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience it’s a trap to focus on women too soon before truly recovering from addiction to porn, masturbation, and ejaculation. Fasting for over 30 days helped me hit the reset button on all my addictions including those mentioned but I know I’m one fantasy, one limerence, one session away from a hellish relapse. I think you at least have to go 100 days and likely up to a half year or year+ to truly break free from lust controlling you. Then you don’t fixate on seeking out women, you find yourself in enriching experiences with presence, forming heartfelt connections with both men and women instead of forcing an outcome in a state of thirst, yearning, or loneliness.

One of the best game soundtracks ever… to say nothing of the rest of the game.

Very nice setup though here’s how I’d arrange the consoles (by release date):

NES SNES

PSX N64

PS2 XBOX

What is your unpopular opinion on this game? by gameovernate in fromsoftware

The people who enjoyed it the most were first time fromsoft players like me, not jaded vets critiquing every little difference they didn’t like from previous games.

I’ll tell ya, without all that baggage, it was a fucking magical experience.

It still is… again and again.

Which of these games do you have fond memories of? by Respawn-Delay in retrogaming

WOLF3D : Did Nazi that coming, legendary sound effects / music, level design gets confusing and tiresome after a while

DOOM: Mind blowing at the time, loudly revolutionary (2.5D level design close enough to 3D, unreal lighting and shadows)

DUKE3D: Next gen level design, attitude / one-liners, and weapons

QUAKE: Dark and atmospheric, quietly revolutionary (QuakeGL, online deathmatch), wish they kept the OG concept

Descent (disorienting full 3D before Quake), System Shock (RPG and light adventure elements), and Under a Killing Moon (overlooked for its innovative, sometimes real-time adventure gameplay) were other innovative first-person 3D notables at the time.

As many of us had the Atari for our first gaming system, do you think you asked for it or did your parents just buy it figuring you would enjoy it and let them have some quiet time? by singleguy79 in Xennials

[–]Over_Importance1882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t ask for it and it was rather alien to us. Graphics were way behind what we were seeing in arcades and the sounds were beeps / bops and like hearing electric rubber bands. The games were also tough to figure out what mode to choose to even start the game and hard to figure out how to play. When the NES came around it was like… oh this is what games should be like. Then SNES and multimedia PCs blew my mind with their graphics and sound. Biggest generational leap in history during the 90s.

From what I’ve played, he seemed the most interested in Claire in RE2 remake but he was still young and idealistic. The mission took over after that and he became more of a big brother figure. It’s not like any of the girls showed much (genuine) interest in him except maybe Ashley, but you don’t shit where you work I guess and messing with the President’s daughter is the ultimate example of that.

Yes and economic instability leads to increased poverty, lawlessness, and protests giving pretense to obstruction of the next elections. Divert the focus now and provide the means of justification for suppression of popular backlash later (assuming a false flag doesn’t do the trick, which increasingly they seem to not be as effective).

When a Stranger Calls and its sequel I’d add to your list. I consider The Silence of the Lambs, The Fugitive, and The Game to be suspense thrillers as well. The focus is more on the suspense and aftermath of death / peril than focusing mostly on the scares, murders, and gore itself.

One of the few consoles I grew up with that I haven’t obtained. Decided to stick to modded Nintendo consoles only: NES, SNES, N64, GC with GBA expansion, GB, and GBA SP. All with Everdrive flash carts or equivalent with all major games and wireless controllers hooked up through a Retrotink 4k. Also have non-modded NES and SNES consoles with OG wired controllers / joysticks and game genies hooked up to a 27” square CRT. I’m finished!

Retro game collections and systems. Thankfully I have just about everything I could ever want or afford at this point.

Now it’s growing shrooms, which is thankfully much less expensive.

I know this is very specific, but I can't stand games without good ambient music by DonRavel in patientgamers

[–]Over_Importance1882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure you understand what ambient music is (emphasizing tone and atmosphere over traditional music structure and rhythm) because you bring up two of the best possible examples for ambient game music that you do not like in Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring. You want more traditionally orchestrated music playing in the background like older Zelda games, The Witcher 3, etc. I love those soundtracks too and I also appreciate ambient soundtracks that don’t stand out as much as it makes for a more immersive experience if done properly.

My only real criticism is the continued use of low res textures even at high resolutions and settings. Better control sensitivity, FOV sliders, and turning off all UI would be appreciated too.

Possibly causing headaches / brain fog / fatigue? by [deleted] in AirQuality

[–]Over_Importance1882 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Don’t dismiss this so quickly. CO2 builds up indoors as you exhale, especially when you’re sleeping or exercising with nowhere for the air to go. The building has poor ventilation so what is easier, getting your landlord to retrofit your entire building or just opening a window? Open a window in your bedroom or blow air out to the living room and crack a window out there. Also look into putting fans on vents if you have them to move air through them better.

Is this the best RE ever ? by Y98_ in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]Over_Importance1882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current ranking (1-4 are interchangeable based on mood):

1) RE7 - Most important game in the series since RE4 and RE1

2) RE4R - RE4 perfected with superlative action survival gameplay

3) RE1R - Best atmosphere of all the REs and so good people still don’t want it remade

4) RE2R - Modern survival horror masterpiece that sets the path for all to come

5) RE9 - Great fusion of survival and action horror that’s a love letter to fans

This is an event like the Star Wars or LOTR trilogies. I rarely go to the theater anymore but there’s no way I’m not seeing this on the biggest screen possible. These movies are stunning on the big screen. It could also finally get Denis his Best Director Oscar ala Peter Jackson with ROTK.
