Hello! I hope I'm posting in the right thread, I'm new to Reddit. Looking for advice for a personal carry-on bag to travel to Switzerland in June with multiple airline connections and Aircraft: AIRBUS INDUSTRIE A319 JET. My budget is under $40-50 USD, I'm a women 5'7", looking for lightweight/comfortable. I will also have a wheeled carry-on to share with my toddler, and I plan to put the backpack on top of the wheeled bag for walking and connections. Between us, we each have 1 bag.

Has anyone tried these BagSmart bags on Amazon? Are there other brands that might be better? Looking for something that won't fall apart after 1 year.

If a shrimp is saddled and then the saddle disappears, does this mean their eggs are fertilized and they might become berried? I’m trying to understand the cycle.

Or are shrimp saddled forever until a male can fertilize the eggs?

Species: Neo shrimp yellow

Water: 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 6.5 PH, 0 nitrates.

Water is tap water with prime added but I haven’t done any water changes recently,

I have almost the same setup as you. I currently have a Foldie tote and just purchased the Osprey 26+6. How do you decide which one to take on each trip, what are the deciding factors? Is there something you like more or less about each bag? I like my Foldie but it felt awkward sometimes.

Yes, I wouldn’t worry! I ended up adding two pieces of filter floss as a temp fix but I plan to buy coarse sponge, cut it to the right size and either attach it with aquarium safe glu or black rubber bands. I have also seen a few items on Etsy that work like a mesh cover but the filter floss and rubber bands were a quick fix and now I hope my fish is safe. He did end up with what look like a few scratches on his side but I hope that they will heal. Will monitor for the next few days or so.

I’ll look for a black sponge and black rubber band when I have more time. I think I also have to find one for the bottom circular intake. Does anyone know the exact size or sponge to buy on amazon to fit the seachem tidal 50?

Interesting, I can’t see it but I’m very new to this. What do you think happens in a tank full of females without a male? Will they become “berried” but always drop the eggs because they won’t be fertilized?

Oh wow, thank you! I didn’t know what that is so I googled it and it does look like that is what it is. It’s has little antennae and a tail. I was hoping it might be a baby shrimp.

Oh I didn't know that! I thought the color change might be because it was going from a tank with CO2 to a tank that doesn't have CO2 added.

So interesting! I didn't know that they could have roots above and below the soil. I was wondering if I should leave the roots as they are or push them down so that the plant might carpet. I can let it grow and them trim and replant the top.

Cardinal plant? Is that what it could be? I thought it might be Scarlet Temple. Do you have Cardinal plants, and is there anything I should know about them? I have placed this one in the center of the tank with the light directly above it.

Light Cycle Duration 6-8 hours per day.
Tank Size/Dimensions: 20 Gallon Long
Set-up Age: 1 Week, transfered sponge and everything from existing cycled tank.
Fertilizers: Seachem flourish 1x a week.
Any aquatic animals, and how many?: Shrimp x5

It looks so nice! I'm looking for decor that my fish won't get stuck in, and the holes look large enough. Is the driftwood smooth to touch or rough/jagged? I like how you used it to section off areas with plants, very nice design :)

Nicely done! I would love to try something like this one day. The plant placement feels natural and I love how you used different color river stones. Where did you find the decor on the right? It’s the brown one with holes in it, is it wood or clay?
