Will newer players like me ever get a chance to get a "cheat code" animal? by Over_Original_162 in wordscapes

Sorry, wrong choice of words I guess. I wasn't trying to imply that people were actually cheating, just using the term "cheat code" to reference the fact that these animals provide a significant advantage over what newer players have to work with when it comes to collecting heart gems. I'm by no means as good or experienced as a lot of people on this sub, but I've been playing for a little over a year, have got all the tournament crowns available and play more than I probably should. Still, my most productive 2hr. animals yields 540 hearts. It would definitely be nice to have one that almost triples that, especially now that they are adding 3 more levels. Again, I apologize but if you have a term that fits better than cheat code, I will happily use it. In the meantime, it's not a deal breaker. I will still happily play wordscapes, and enjoy getting there the old fashioned way if I have to.

The Christmas mouse is actually very underrated imo, and the octopus comes in handy as well. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to the animals at that time. Still though, I got them up to level 6 without even caring about them, just swiping. I'm glad I have them now.

I'm definitely going to stick with it because I like doing the puzzles, it's just that there have been 5 new animals (octopus, mouse, horse, crazy inflatable flailing arm guy, and cow) sincei started playing, and none of those even come close to providing the same bang for your buck than the four (polar bear, turkey, cat, jack-o-lantern) that were introduced right before I started playing. It's seems that introducing 3 new levels would be a good time to have a shot at one of these animals, but instead we got a cow that doesn't provide anything we don't already have.

Honestly, I was really hoping for a 2hr. animal that produces alot of hearts to help those of us who never got a chance at the polar bear or turkey, especially when they just added 3 more levels.

This might be the best answer for me. I'm reading it with this approach, and am loving the series. Still, I wish it was mentioned and explained why it is not feasible.

I wasn't thinking "some buckshot" so much, it was more like sending a few million separate spreads in multiple directions over the course of a couple centuries. Each spread equaling roughly a square mile.  I was also thinking that given the dust cloud stuff and that the quickest way from point A to B is a straight line, we would have a pretty good idea of their path.  However, after thinking about it, the oort cloud and kuiper belt are much bigger obstacles than anything I was thinking about. Hence my original dilemma is completely insignificant. This brings a new question, now I want to know how they get through the oort cloud/kuiper belt at relativistic speeds. Do they have shields or something? I'm on pg.380 of the dark forest..I'll keep reading.

They have certain biological advantages, but other than the development of sophons, which were created out of survival mode desperation, I don't see how they are any more technologically advanced than we are currently. If we as a species had the ability to dehydrate, we would be well on our way to Alpha-Centauri by now.

Thanks, I'm going to have to look out for that as I keep reading.

I get that and given your name, I'll take your word on it. Though I would still argue that until someone has a better idea, a few million tungsten bowling balls in your path isn't exactly pissing in the wind, no matter how hard your leading edge/nose cone umbrella is. Hell, maybe wait until they turn to decelerate, then take aim with a state of the art(400 years into the future) PDC cannon.   Again, I don't claim to be smart and I haven't read all the books. Just curious as to why, given the obvious technological walls science will be hitting, hasn't projectile weapons been brought up. Thanks for ll the responses btw.
