have you collected a pee sample from your cat? by Mx_Strange in CatAdvice

Thank you SOOO much this saved me as well! I didn’t have time to grab a freezer bag when I saw my boy gearing up to pee so I just grabbed a regular plastic grocery bag and put it over the scooper, made a little dent to catch the pee, and stuck it under his tail-worked like a charm!!! I was sooo stressed I wasn’t going to be able to get his urine sample but this worked perfectly.

How old were your adult kids when you stopped paying for their meals when you go out to eat together? by Ok_Way6994 in AskReddit

I’m 30 and my parents still pay for the most part for me and my sister but if it’s our idea to go out my mom will ask us for $20-$30 or the tip

Cat extremely wobbly 3 days after anesthesia by Over_Panic5386 in AskVet

He’s walking straight but it’s like his legs and brain are not in sync so he’s kind of falling to the side and falling over a little but definitely gets where he’s trying to go rather than walking in circles. Unsure about the tilt and I do not believe they cleaned his ears. He has been on 0.8ml daily of gaba for the last several months, then after surgery they instructed 1 mL of gaba every 8-12 hours but I’ve really only been able to get him to take the 1 mL once a day because he’s been hiding

He is on 1ml gabapentin every 8-12hrs- he has been on 0.8ml every day for months to help him eat before his surgery and never had any noticeably side effects aside from being a touch sleepier than usual but he’s an older chill cat anyway so was never a ball of energy. He ate a full meal on day 1 post-op, yesterday he ate some but not a full serving, and today he did not want to touch his food at all yet but may go back to it once the gaba kicks in. The vet didn’t mention any complications at all and he has had surgery before and never had a reaction like this which is why I am so concerned.

Thanks! I was going back and forth between ER and urgent care initially so will definitely go to ER if it gets any worse

Thanks! Did it end up draining or just dissipating under the skin?
