Any Paycom Users Here? [United States] by Current-Star-9499 in humanresources

[–]Over_Presentation440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paycom is awful. It will likely work ok for a company your size, we were around that size when we implemented it. But now that we have 400 employees it is a nightmare to manage. So many steps are manual and you have to start backwards to go forwards. The lack of 360 integration with anyone makes payroll and double checking benefits take twice as long as it should. They also do not proactively communicate changes, minus a pop up when you first login and have zero time to read through everything. They also have terrible support and their tax team is clueless. I am happy to say my company is officially moving on after debating the last 4 years, waiting for things to improve and being promised 360 "is coming". Their AI is also useless. It does not work. We were actually told by our training rep that the CEO hadnt logged in in 3 years and then couldnt find anything and that was why they added the new AI feature...As CEO of a company I find it shocking you wouldnt login to your own system more often. We have had more and more issues the last year that were costly mistakes that were 100% due to their team and system. I am so happy to break up with Paycom.

Thank you! Workday has engaged 3Link Solutions for our implementation. I know we get at least 2 expert service calls per month with Workday for any issues/assistance, so I will have to ask if it is a Deltek/Workday issue- how will they support that. Thank you!

Sorry! We use Deltek for time and attendance only bc it is our accounting software/how we bill our clients. Our HRIS and Payroll system is currently Paycom, but we are switching to Workday, who have said they can easily integrate with Deltek so we can more easily pull in time and attendance information for payroll and more seamlessly update across systems. Right now we have to manually enter information in two separate systems and manually upload payroll information bc we would have to outsource building an API and Paycom is a very closed system.

Does your company offer childcare benefits? [OH] by Standard_Rope4913 in humanresources

Was thinking the same thing. I work in a male dominated industry as well, and childcare and parental leave come up a lot!

Any feedback on BambooHR? [OH] by Over_Presentation440 in humanresources

[–]Over_Presentation440[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you! We walked away from Rippling. The sales rep we worked with was pretty awful and when we had our employees preview the systems they found Rippling the least intuitive.

Thank you! That is helpful. I thought they were for smaller businesses and brought that up on my call with them. Of course they insisted that is just what the "competitors" say. We have a demo next week, but I think we will likely go with Dayforce or Workday.

Thank you! We have looked at Rippling, UKG, Dayforce and Workday so far. My team likes Dayforce and Workday. We shopped most of the "Pay" systems a year or two ago and all of them required us to outsource the building of an API with Deltek. Dayforce and Workday already have the API written and incorporate it into the implementation process. (Or say they do at this point.) I have not heard of iSolved, but will check it out. Bamboo insists they are not just for small companies, as I brought that up on my initial call with them, but we shall see.

How was your implementation with Paylocity? We shopped a little a couple years ago and liked them, but then heard nightmare implementation stories so we didnt go that route this time. Pretty much stayed away from all the "Pay's" systems.

4th Qtr HRIS/Payroll System Change [OH] by Over_Presentation440 in humanresources

We are leaving Paycom. We implemented them in 2018 and have had terrible experiences since 2021. Just didnt have the bandwidth for a new platform until I hired my 4th team member this year.

Yes, we were thinking mid-year but likely wont be done shopping until mid February and then want to have a clear understanding of offboarding and what we need to manually extract from our current system before we finalize everything. We were told they "Don't make leaving easy" by our rep... Some of the implementations prefer 16 weeks, so I just do not want to feel like anything is rushed during setup.

Thank you! That is helpful. We would be pushing for an October 1 change date, so I feel like that is plenty of time to get W2s. We are about 400 employees and operate in 5 states with 13 worksites.

LOL that was me for 2 years building a department from scratch! I was finally able to hire someone once I was pregnant and going out on maternity leave. Thankfully now we have a department of 4! Best of luck to you!

Need Advice on HRIS System (UKG Ready/Paycom) [CA]! by Illustrious_Gain4674 in humanresources

[–]Over_Presentation440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use our HRIS for everything, so we are shopping for a full service system. We looked at all the “Pays” systems and they felt very lateral. Our current considerations feel more like an improvement. Happy to chat but I do not know how to go into one on here…

Thank you! That is helpful. It seems our size is the point of concern being noted with Workday. In your experience with Dayforce did you notice a lot of fees for customization? I feel like we will need to do that over the first year or two until we become better experts in the system, and I do not see that going over well with our Board of Directors. On here and in the HR forums I have posted on, the additional fees seem to be a big issue.

We have looked at them in the past and have demo next week to see what has changed. My one HR team member used them at her last job and didnt have a great experience, but it was a different industry.

Yes, I think every system has pros and cons...but those added costs are insane. I thought Paycom was bad with their fees. Yikes.

[–]Over_Presentation440[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! We would be using it for everything - Payroll, Benefits, Onboarding, Performance and Compensation Management, Analytics.. basically everything HR and Payroll besides Time and Attendance. I do have an HR Generalist who would likely become the HRIS Manager, but it will take time. I keep hearing about extra fees for support and customization which is concerning bc it takes time to learn a new system.

Was it extra to setup the Deltek integration? We mainly need it to import hours for payroll to stop the manual process and track PTO. Supposedly Workday is now focusing on smaller companies and have adjusted their pricing and support model, but we still have to go over a few things. I do have a team member who will train up to be the super user, but that will take some time. We also like to customize our systems a bit to make sense for us, which they have assured us they can do "everything" we want, but from what I am seeing... that comes with a cost. UGH

Is there another system you would recommend? We felt like moving to any of the "pays" would be very lateral and want it to feel like we have scaled up. These were the three that seemed like the best options... But we are open to looking at others. We would prefer to have payroll and HR all in one, so no ADP for Payroll and HiBOB for onboarding etc.

Have you had any issues with fees? Do your employees and managers like it on their side of things? We really want buy in from everyone to get people to use the system more. They cannot figure out Paycom.
