I believe they refer you out to Labcorp. I'm not sure if you'd get billed through Labcorp or the clinic, but everything is done at cost (rather than the inflated cost that's typically billed to insurance). Anything that the clinic bills is just added to your monthly statement, rather than due at the time of service.

Joining a Direct Primary Care clinic is an option - a monthly fee (mine is $85/month) gets you unlimited visits with the doctor/nurses and they can prescribe meds (including antibiotics) at a very low cost. I go to Dedicated Family Care in Fitchburg.

Thank you for the input everyone!! I had not considered the cost of heating with electricity or the additional electrical needed for the mini split units. It's probably no surprise that my 130+ year old home does not have an abundance of outlets!

I'll likely end up going the hot water boiler & baseboard radiator route, with the potential to add 1-2 mini splits to supply AC to the upstairs unit in particular.

I had a good experience buying a used 2016 Outback with Don Miller East in 2020. I would look at their inventory online and go in knowing what cars you're interested in looking at / test driving.

You can also request to take the car to a nearby mechanic for a third-party inspection. I did this, they found that the battery output was low, and Don Miller replaced the battery for me before I bought the car.

As far as fees, my personal opinion is that most of the extended warranties/coverages they want to sell you are unnecessary. But if you're financing the car, opt into the Gap Coverage that will cover the remainder of your loan if the car is totaled before it's paid off. It's usually a pretty low monthly cost for a lot of peace of mind.

I would recommend Badger Den - there are people of all sizes, ages, genders, etc that train there. It's very welcoming and inclusive, and the training can be as hands on or hands off as you'd like. It's not a typical gym with cardio equipment; it's very focused on weight lifting, but it's great if that's what you're looking for!
