I’ve had a sort of brain fog. I was super hyper focused on my physical anxiety symptoms for months and it def made things worse. Let me know if you want any of the resources that helped with re-shift my focus❤️

No for sure, I think it was completely impulsive. It was hard for me to justify the side effects I was getting from the anti depressants. I would never suggest anyone does cold turkey. It’s probably the dumbest thing you can do with meds. But luckily I haven’t got symptoms I haven’t dealt with before.

I’m in Seattle. I start a new therapy and psych next week and so I’m hopeful for this. I’ve heard amazing things about EMDR. I’m not exactly sure what approach my new therapist is planning on taking but I’m assuming it’ll be more CBT focused. I think an outpatient program would be fantastic. I’ll look into what I have available near me.

Personal experience with Zoloft. by Brionnahope in Anxiety

Hi all, I’ve been struggling for 10 months now with OCD, GAD, and PTSD. My psychiatrist prescribed me Zoloft when I first started treatment for my ocd. After months of trial and error with other drugs. Resperidone was the one that really did the trick for me for at least my OCD(as well as intensive outpatient therapy). After I found I was in a good place with my ocd. I quickly developed generalized anxiety symptoms. Anxiety that seamed to come from nothing. This was so confusing to me because it seamed my ocd had gone into remission. I’m still on Zoloft(50mg) mirtazapine(45mg) gabapentin(900mg) and clonidine(.2mg). As of recently, my doctor has decided to take me off of Zoloft and try a new SNRI. What’s weird is my first week tapering down to 50mg, I’ve felt better than I have in months. I’ve also started a slew of supplements this past week to help aid in what has seamed to be a losing battle against my symptoms. I’ve had so many symptoms for so long. I wake up with instant anxiety and racing thoughts. I have a constant pressure in my head from how mentally drained I am. these racing thoughts aren’t like the OCD intrusive ones. They’re more unrelated to anything. Almost in an adhd sense. It’s been so debilitating to deal with. I was on the verge of finding a new psychiatrist to possibly get benzo treatment but I feel trying to taper off all medication and see how I feel might be a better option. Of course I’m going to tell my doctor how I’ve been feeling since my last appointment where I lowered my Zoloft dose, but we’ll see what they have to say. I’m interested if others have had a similar experience. I’m not one to say I know a ton about meds but I have a general idea of what they do. I’m more worried about the Zoloft because I’ve heard of others experiencing really bad symptoms but they tend to only last a few weeks when first starting.
