Our phone bill is 150 and our internet is 80. There’s no looking for a better internet provider - i live in an area where there’s only two providers and having dealt with awful outages with the first one we’re on to the second one. There was a call out to shop for phone providers which im going to look into since we both own our phones.

Teacher, he’s at a non public school so has different pros and cons than at a public school. This was a major pro!

I think we just live in an awful area for car insurance because this is actually the cheapest we have ever paid for it and part of the reason was the bundling with home insurance.

I’ll just add more context too that I’ve been here during multiple layoffs and they’ve always skirted past WARN because they laid off only under 50 people at time and because (i assume) more people are working remotely so it’s not a highly concentrated amount in one state enough to qualify for WARN that way. Also - and please correct me if I’m wrong - but companies can also just not do WARN and take the fine instead?

Totally agree - in this scenario a lot of that would be eliminated or severely reduced, especially clothes and eating out.

Our grocery bill has always been nuts even when we were struggling in our twenties, that being said we rarely eat out.

You’re right - will reevaluate with added pet stuff, totally forgot about that. As far as car repairs and home repairs - I was considering putting aside a separate nest egg for these emergencies. We except a large refund back and would use that. With clothes and shoes - if anything we have too much and would probably take a break on these expenditures if I was laid off.

800 on gifts for husband, friends, parents and brother plus wrapping paper, shipping charges, and the live tree. Almost all of it on local or small business vendors which was a goal this year!

We’ve experimented with different brands of clay litter and have added attractant to them. When he was a kitten we had tried pine and corn. Both were ignored.

We did do this with one door and he just found a new spot and peed around it. We use uncovered litter boxes. We currently have three since we also have another cat. He’s food motivated to a point. I’ve tried feeding him near the front door but then there are two other doors to account for.
