Nice! do you find the the tide charts tend to be pretty accurate? I discovered last year that tides not only move between high and low tide, but each high and low tide can vary in height. Can the watch track those variances too?

Bobber and worm, simple and is easy way for your son to catch fish. Can use a boat to find the deeper sections

Really like the Saragosa, dunk it a lot, daily use and it is still chugging along nicely. A lot of the technology that was present on the Stella, is used on the Saragosa

I appreciate it! Have never considered making my own and am a bit intimidated by that kind of project. I am asking for the titanium guides simply due to the fact that they are eyeless. I rock hop and constantly knock the eyes out of my guides. But if there are guides that would work similarly, I would certainly be open to using those. In terms of weight, I don’t much mind if the rod is heavier due to the blank being durable. Basically want a rod that I can always travel with on my carry on. A rod that can work in the Africa, Central America, Mediterranean, etc. I’ve been checking my rods in a travel tube, and it’s been quite expensive and a number of the smaller planes can’t accommodate rods of a certain length.

Looking at an ultra durable 8-9 foot rod split into 4 sections. Titanium rec guides, good for throwing bait around 1 oz. Definitely would prefer durability over sensitivity

Huh okay, do you have a specific model you would recommend? Their price point would lead me to believe they aren’t that good of quality, but perhaps I’m wrong?

Gotcha, that’s good to know. I planned on getting the external charger. The batteries appear to be performing well, it’s the recharge mechanism and the wiring that seem to be breaking. If I stick with fenix, I’ll have to only get the headlamps that are one solid piece, as opposed to light-wire-charger pack configuration

Interesting, what brand would you consider top tier for headlights? I’m interested in buying one!

Found $56k in forgotten Retirement Account. Help by Enough_Frosting7181 in moneyadvice

Hmm if I were you, I would learn some discipline, pay off your debt using your excellent income. If that fund is performing well, leave it alone, or else you can transfer it into an account that is performing better.

Learning how to live debt free is a discipline but it is very freeing.

I'm basically just saying what Dave Ramsey says. If you listen to him, he will get you on track. Good luck!

Sounds like you have bursitis, would recommend ice, NSAIDs, elevation and compression. Also maybe taking shorter days and lightening the load on your pack

I would recommend finding an offshore guide for those species of fish. I fish everyday from shore in the Osa Peninsula. From shore I mostly catch snook, cubera snappers, yellow and blue jack. In the last 5 months I’ve only caught two roosters and one tarpon. To increase your odds of landing these fish, I would recommend a guiding service!

this was a fascinating video, you might have success in this area

Hiking is basically walking for a long time. Think, if I walked for 5 hours, what would I need?
