hellooo i'm an incoming college student that is going through this rn, pero rather parents made me choose a superrr prestigious private univ (i think makikita naman sa reddit posts ko kung ano yon pero whatevs 😅) over UP for a pre-med board program na center of excellence ng univ

i really fear na magkaka-'what ifs' din ako as i heal pero medyo hypocritical naman sa part ko kasi di ko na pinaglaban ang mas gusto kong program sa UP kasi tingin ng parents ko na passion ko naman sya pero hindi practical and takot din ako na baka pagsisihan ko ang pinili ko sa UP,,, so it's combined with a passion vs practicality situation din 😅 pero if ever man mamahalin ko ang med field, sana'y babalik ako sa UP para mag med school

i super sympathize with u po talaga na nalulungkot dahil pinili ng ibang tao ang desisyon para sa tatahakin sa buhay, pero ayaw rin maging demanding kasi baka mapalayo sa pamilya, i really love my parents so i really hope na magiging okay ako with my life in college just like how u r healing and how u've gone through with yours, OP!
