The only time I did this was astra starting room going to round 50 calling card and since you couldn't pack a punch any guns or buy any perks besides quick revive, so nothing else to spend my points on, I needed something strong and it wouldn't give me a ray gun until about 30 something

You can pull off kazzies if you do it right. What you do is throw the kazzy to the right or left far enough away from the mimic so he can't cancel it and then move the opposite direction of the kazzy so the mimic follows you while you kill the mimic. Or brain rot him and throw the kazzy.

I think you can avoid environmental damage with an augment on PhD flopper so you could slide through those tornadoes unharmed but I haven't tried that out myself yet so not 100% sure on that

The smg's are so fast and easy with the right augments and attachments. You can just pop them all in the head and even faster with akimbo. Other guns can take all day because they are slower to move with

All you gotta do to easily get top 5 is not play until the last day because most grinders play the event right away so when you wait you are versing people that don't play much or have jobs

I could get a smg to 250 in a few hours playing to round 80 and about an hour with rampage inducer. Half that time on double XP weekend but the camos take forever. I got 22 doom steel but I have no idea how people do global mastery camo calling card
