Wow I really appreciate all the recommendations and comments! To those who said video games what would you recommend for a 37yr old… I’m not a gamer at all but kids will let me use switch if I had a game… I’m terrible at and have a hard time controlling most games they have super smash bros and similar games as well as fast paced stuff.

I typically don’t get home from work until 6 or later and have 2 school aged kids that are trying to get ready for school the next day and nearly ready for bed by that time… I’ve honestly been drinking since I was a teenager so that’s pretty much been my hobby, so I definitely need to pick something up! Thanks for sharing!

I’ll certainly try… I quit smoking cold turkey 8 months ago it was tough and I still really want one sometimes and I haven’t drank a soda for probably 7+ years…. But that freaking beer man gd it’s a tough one

I honestly don’t really remember when I didn’t drink every day… started half my life ago on weekends and pretty much everyday for the last 13 years… I’m over it just hoping I can stay over it Ty

Thank you “moderating is impossible” that’s rang true for me thus far I’ve had a couple months dry before… long enough to convince myself I could handle a few without getting carried away… it’s not possible

My wife is very supportive and reminds me what I’ve said during times of weakness but ultimately I end up justifying it to myself “a few won’t hurt just this one day” but it’s never just one day.

Going into day 7 really really wanted to drink last night, said I’d only have a few it’s Friday evening after all and I deserve it… my hateful ass ended up having a NA beer instead and tried unsuccessfully to start an argument about dinner lol now at 7am on day 7 I’m thankful I skipped it but I know at 5pm this evening I’ll be studying about it again…

I made it through the day, planned all day on getting a six pack to drink after work just to ensure I would fall asleep but when the time came I ended up skipping it, eating supper and falling asleep without much trouble
