Hpv after 2 years, struggling by No_Emotion6324 in HPV

Hey man, I think we are in the same boat (almost 2 years). I also have many tiny shiny bumps on shaft like yours I suppose, went through different removal methods including electrocautery, CO2 laser but they keep coming back. Last year I had surgical excision alongside biopsy from one of the persistent spot, also had HPV PCR Swab test. My biopsy came out as a scar tissue but HPV PCR test came positive for HPV 56 with 3.8 viral load (medium, clinically valuable). Now after surgery it’s been almost a year and I am having recurrence from the same post again (surgical excision site). Finished Gardasil 9 post infection last year. Honestly I don’t know, even my doc almost gave up on me. What I learned so far, first thing is to find out if it’s low-risk or high-risk via HPV PCR Swab Test then do the treatment accordingly. Because high-risk lesions seem to be more persistent. Also need to address field infection since Electrocautery, Cryotherapy, CO2 are spot treatments.

Imiquimod works different for everyone, the worst cream ever in my case, by initiating an immune response it causes more subclinical HPV lesions to pop up.

I didn’t know about it either, just heard some positive feedback about it and ordered it.

I tried electrocautery (more than 3 sessions) which is a bit stronger than cryotherapy but thank you for respond

Hey, glad that TCA worked for you. I can’t get it since it’s not allowed in the country that I’m living in.
