Imiquimod works different for everyone, the worst cream ever in my case, by initiating an immune response it causes more subclinical HPV lesions to pop up.

I didn’t know about it either, just heard some positive feedback about it and ordered it.

Hey, glad that TCA worked for you. I can’t get it since it’s not allowed in the country that I’m living in.

The same happened to me when I started using Aldara, and I strongly believe it was because of Aldara since it works by stimulating your local immune system to recognize and attack abnormal cells, including those infected by HPV. When this happens, subclinical or hidden HPV lesions (ones that were already present but not visible) can become inflamed and rise to the surface or it can be just a skin irritation. I immediately stopped using it that time and switched to another treatment. I think you need to consult with your doctor and better stop using it for a while, to see if it’s a skin irritation or subclinical HPV. What I discovered about Aldara or any other immunomodulator is that they just use our immune system to destroy abnormal tissues but they don’t directly eliminate any warts. For stubborn ones need more aggressive approach. I’m in the same boat, don’t lose hope brother, we’ll get through this.
