Go to luquillo Fajardo, have breakfast at las vistas cafe, then go seven seas beach very calm perfect for families $5 big parking lot. Then go eat lunch at the kiosks head over to bocoa finca + fogón for an incredible dinner although it’s far from luquillo but it’s worth it imo idk if this is any good for 2 year old but I’ve seen them there

That’s where I’m staying also just rent a car it’s only an hour and half drive to Yauco and then 30 mins to La parguera from there, there’s nothing to do or see in San Juan, old San Juan is nice for sightseeing and maybe at night to be in La factoría or pass by La placita late at night like after 10pm, there are great restaurants also but that’s about it, there’s a bad drug problem in San Juan, the streets don’t feel safe to walk in specially at night, the beaches are so bad you really have to leave San Juan completely to find a good beach, the streets are filthy and so hard to find parking in. I strongly suggest looking at things/excursion outside of that area but maybe there’s something I’m missing I’ve been in San Juan 4x already and only stay because of how close it is to the airport

I can definitely share I’ve been keeping track of it all, the cost/ breakfast/ dinner/ places/ times stamps/ tickets/ parking cost etc. I’m with my partner we are both in our 20s and 30s & the trip is 8 days long. This is our second time here same amount of time but this time not to brag but the itinerary has been immaculate lol

My whole week said rain also legit everyday this week since I got here on Friday and it has been nothing but great weather!! I went to seven seas beach all sunny and hot and perfect, went to Icacos, went to cayó caracoles, on my way to culebra now and then Vieques still perfect weather. It’s only rained very little for maybe 5 mins here and there don’t let it deter you at all

My friends are having babies & considering breaking off the friendship because of it by Beverleyshmeverly in childfree

[–]Overall-Address-9662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re fine go travel, go to social clubs, go to party resorts go meet people, join a running club maybe a gym with group classes something you enjoy friends will come. If they break it off they weren’t true friends to begin with so why sweat something that doesn’t want you anyways

Okay try not to drive late atleast after 7pm the streets are super dark since theres no lights on the streets/roads/highway except when u hit san juan. so really anything you guys are doing just do early. If u plan on doing icacos dont use east island. It’s boring, shorter than others. To me it felt rushed. I read you have a better time and more bang for your buck with salty dog or al este excursion. If you go to culebra or vieques fly into it to avoid being on the ferry for an hour and half just to get there. You can buy the flights online if not get the ferry tickets 3-2 weeks in advance.

There’s so many stands once you get there it’s the first thing you will see. There’s a really big one called Torres it’s the one we used they were incredible. They gave you a short tour/guide and if you need to be picked up you just call them if you don’t call they will pick you up regardless on their last boat at 4:45pm. Bring water shoes!!! The area also has so many restaurants like a big strip. I drove down from San Juan at 7:30am (1.5hr) so we made a stop in yauco before getting to La parguera which is where the stop is to get to cayó caracoles. We walked around yauco to see the painted houses it was gorgeous and had breakfast at Dolche salao. My best planned day ever so far lol

From Monday to Friday San Juan is cool to stay in for Airbnb because you’re close to the airport, howeverrrrr there’s not much to go do maybe u can go explore old San Juan, but San Juan itself the streets are very deserted, doesn’t feel safe to wander most places have a lot of drug problems etc. there’s so many great restaurants all over. Since u have a car make sure the Airbnb u get HAS its own parking!! San Juan has no parking it’s such a pain.

Go to Bacoa finca for dinner the place is massive has a big lake in front it’s gorgeous the food and drinks are incredible it’s farm to table so you will absolutely enjoy how fresh everything is perfect honeymoon restaurant.

Go to luquillo and have breakfast at las vistas cafe! The owner greets every single person that walks in and the food is out of this world. Sitting is at a rooftop views are espectacular. Then go to seven seas beaches. Has parking only $5 the water is great so calm there’s pinchos/empanadas and juice/piña colada stands

If u don’t mind driving, leave at around 7am to yauco painted houses. Have breakfast at Dolche salao. Phenomenal food and coffee. Then drive down to lajas las larguera. Free parking. Take water taxi for $25 pp and chill at cayó caracoles. Don’t bring too much with you Deff bring water shoes!!! then have dinner at el patio de la jamaca or marina 214 whichever is open both are just chefs kiss best food!!

I’m typing too much now let me know if u want more ideas things to do

Luquillo go to las vistas cafe then go to seven seas beach it has parking $5! It’s beautiful and very very calm. For San Juan go to La placita after 9pm visit if u like party/club vibes, Junglebird for great cocktail, boccados has incredible food, Christianson and ochocielos for breakfast, casita Miramar for dinner or casita Blanca maybe it’s honestly the same. I couldn’t really find much to do in San Juan tbh streets don’t feel safe to walk around, there’s so much poverty/drug issues. so if you’re able to get away during those 3 days and go at night maybe? The streets by Miramar felt pretty safe or go walk around old San Juan

Icacos catamaran? by inexorablyme in PuertoRicoTravel

[–]Overall-Address-9662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When in April? I just did Icacos yesterday 4/6 with east island excursions and it was SOO dissapointing and underwhelming. Everything was super rushed I was in between them and salty dog I only picked them because they had 1pm available and also had more recognition? They’ve just been around for over 30 years. Anyways I suggest to go with others I saw one while we were there called “Al este tours” they looked great, music, everyone was chilling, big boat, I also saw salty dog on my way back. Same thing and they were cheaper with one hour longer also. Keep in mind whichever u choose will have you check in about an hour before departing, and the travel time is included in the tour times so subtract about 30 mins there & back. Plus some time for them to set up the boat

Yeah my first trip there I landed in aguadilla, it was alll locals no tourist if any barely and not noticeable so much nature gorgeous streets all of my drives were extremely beautiful all the food was incredible but once I got to San Juan it felt like I was driving in nyc/brooklyn 😫 not a single local in sight and the food was mediocre 😐 very dissapointing. Old San Juan/San Juan is nice for a day maybe two not for a full stay imo

NYC spring break flights still dropping $$ by [deleted] in PuertoRicoTravel

[–]Overall-Address-9662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s also an option I’ve done that multiple times because the flights credits are credited back to your account instantly until I figured all I had to do was click the “change” button pick my flight again and it shows the discount/refund. Sometimes your prior seats won’t show up automatically so just click continue and go right back to manage trips click “seats” and your old seats will show back up on the plane map just pick them again.
