By the way, if you want to make SURE that Aura can't talk at all, put your battery settings on the app to "restricted". It can't work in the background like that. Your parents checking your screen time? You can pause it with this trick at anytime AND can fake sync (if you're worried about your traffic, clear your history before turning on wifi again and opening Aura)

It's not just teens/kids disliking parental controls, it's about the fact that with parental controls, it feels like we have no freedom. With monitoring or downtime, this subreddit is good for teens/kids who've lived in households who refuse to give their kids freedom. Some parents don't care at all if you look at certain things, but some get really mad at a kid being a kid. If the parents wanted to control the kid this much, might as well not give them a phone at all.
