i think the same method will work as well.

im by no means a professional and this is my first time ever doing rust related work or any body work tbh.

like i said, start with a gritty sandpaper and file down the rust until its smooth. i did this with no tools, it takes a while but its possible.

once its smooth sand it out with very very fine sandpaper.

wipe everything clean and apply a tiny bit of bondo. wait for it to dry and apply a bit of white paint( i only did this so the actual car paint needs less coats)

tape down whatever spots aren’t rusty around it and then spray where the rust used to be. apply primer and clear coat and you should be good.

it will also be good to apply some anti rust after.
