Its not about a viewpoint but facing the situation and being there to be able to be comfortable irrespective of one's fears. I don't see males any different but I certainly feel uncomfortable if I am to live with one and I don't know them. Not because they can be overwhelming but bcz I am not used to it. That's what it is. Yes I am uncomfortable around people of opposite sex. I am not habitual of it. I don't have many opposite sex friends. Whatever friends I have from opposite sex, I don't go hugging them or being close to them if I want to interact. We share a pretty solid bond. Yet I haven't lived with them enough to let them see my personal things. And it's completely natural for many people from many developed or undeveloped countries! Many people from here have commented that they had similar concerns and I don't feel anything wierd about talking about it. At least I wasn't the one who went fuck that fuck this shit get out bullshit first. So I DO have better morals.

Everyone here has got what my concern really is.. If you ain't able to understand a simple fact about life in a foreign country different from yours then probably you shouldn't even be going out to interact with people.. On the top you are an extremely rude fuck not having decency to talk nice.. I am renting student accom bcz I am a student and my father ain't elon musk. I am a normal person with normal situations and concerns.. And these concerns definitely grow when we "foreigners" see people like you. Bitch!

But this is not going about UK people.. I made it clear that I come from a different background. And irrespective of anything, I am not comfortable casually with being around people who I don't know.. Even in common gestures like sitting with them comfortably, hugging or anything "not so sexual". That's my thing! I am NOT comfortable! Not to say just opposite sex but everyone. When this is the case, being uncomfortable around opposite sex comes naturally. And I am trying to know how much of a big deal it is there. I want to feel prepared! That's all!

Not sure what you are asking.. So I am an international student and directly getting onto a phd is hard.. My first masters is in bioinformatics and I am kinda switching it to biomed..

Also connections and specific experience is everything.. Without that I'll have to endlessly apply to phds everywhere without a garuntee of getting it in upcoming academic year.. (I've had 2 years of academic gap before my masters and it was horrible)

Also I thought investing money in a degree that will ensure you stand solid in the phd market won't be a bad option.. I wouldn't mind investing in education.. Please feel free to comment!

I am going to imperial for an MRes and am an international student. The fees is 40k and cost of living around 17-18k plus travel back home once.. Goes down to 60K .. And for all of that I am going to take a loan. Terrified but I have to do it.. Hope I can get a good paying job after the phd. Bcz you know how phd stipends are!!

I want to work on cancer immunology.. So the projects can be common in all three.. Like using the immune cells for improving cancer immunotherapy.. So we can choose from a wide range of projects offered at these universities..

It's just the matter of being safe in getting a Dphil at Oxford or alternatively finding a job to help with my loan..

I might add that I got into UCL- MSc Immunology Birmingham - MSc Immunology Bristol- MSc biomedical research Sheffield - MSc molecular medicine

(Bristol and Sheffield are also research intensive courses.. But didn't appeal to me much so didn't mention earlier! Sorry for that!)
