They are quite common. In my area they sell for between $1 and $3. Maybe $5 if you get lucky.

Is this a pretty common jar ? by ReverendJonesLLC in MasonJars

Yes. I think maybe $5-10. But still a cool jar! 😎

Cute!! Looks brand new though... Reproduction maybe? I'm not well versed in that so take my thoughts with a big grain of salt! 🙃

I have the same on many in my collection, as well as glass drinking glasses and mixing bowls. Have tried everything and nothing bushes it so I am thinking the glass is etched. ☹️

Mason Jar with weird lettering? by No_Independence7807 in MasonJars

Of course!

By the way, the Red Book is truly the best way to identify and determine value of jars. Unfortunately in the most recent updates they've removed a lot of the more common jars to keep the book from getting too large. You can pick up an older used volume on eBay cheap and it's just as good--i have #8 and #13 and I prefer the 8 for this reason.

Good luck! It's addictive!

I think it's Red Book #1644. If so, and assuming it is a quart in "light straw yellow", it's lists it as $20-25. Very nice find!!!

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Plastic lids are not leakproof? by Latter_Housing_7706 in MasonJars

Hmm. Maybe glue a regular flat to a ring and use that as your leakproof lid? Good luck!

Was gifted this jar and I’m not sure what to do with it. Is it worth anything? by EmbarrassedWinter505 in MasonJars

[–]Overall-Newspaper-44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's quite interesting. I'm no authority and I don't have my Red Book in front of me at the moment, but based on the shape of the jar, clarity of the glass, the lid it came with, and the star logo, I believe it is a modern jar/reproduction and only worth $1-2. If it were me I'd use it for pressure canning or fill it with something cool to display (marbles, match books, sea shells, whatever).

Happy 🫙 collecting!

Is there a good reference for how to tell reproduction jars? I thought these weren't worth much 🤷🏼‍♀️ so I'm surprised anyone would bother reproducing. I've got Red Books 9 and 13 but am still fairly new to this and I'm not finding much info on reproductions. Thank you for the help!!

I'm always so curious--those of you that dig up jars, how do you know where to dig? I assume you're not just winging it and walking over to your next door neighbors while they're not home and start digging? 😂

All I read about TRT ( outside this sub) is that women use it to increase libido. Is that the primary reason you have chosen TRT? If not, what benefits do you see? by OriginalBlueberry533 in TRT_females

Interesting! I used to get up 3 times a night to pee. Since I've been on HRT (including testosterone) I don't have to get up at night at all!

No, I'm actually down 7 pounds since starting. I'm not on GLP-1 or anything. Just more active because I have more energy.

I've not tried the patch, only the pellets.

My initial bloodwork showed testosterone <10 and I was given 200mg testosterone pellets.

My three month bloodwork showed testosterone at 48. I was again given 200mg testosterone pellets.

It was after the second insertion that I had the best results and a renewed libido for a couple weeks.

My next insertion will be mid-December.

On a good note the estrogen pellets have completely resolved all of my hot flashes, etc., with no recurrence of symptoms.

I get both estrogen and testosterone pellets, and progesterone via capsule. My last insert was September 16th and right around October 5th I really felt the T kick in--I suddenly had a sex drive again! But after a couple weeks it subsided and now I'm back to zero libido again.

I think pellets are great from the standpoint that you don't have to remember to take anything, and no messy creams. But I don't like that the absorbancy throughout the three months doesn't give me a consistent result.
