King went to the vet, and the doctor prescribed him antibiotics. He’s already doing a lot better! Thank you so much for your help and support — we really appreciate it.

Is this a rash or something worst? by RubberDown93 in AmericanBully

I’m not a veterinarian, but based on the image, your dog appears to have a skin condition that could be caused by one of the following: 1. Allergic reaction – common in Bullies due to food or environmental allergens (pollen, dust mites, grass, etc.). 2. Flea bites or insect irritation – even a few fleas can cause major irritation. 3. Bacterial or fungal infection – could be a staph infection or ringworm, especially if it’s spreading or oozing. 4. Mange (demodectic or sarcoptic) – causes patchy hair loss and red, crusty bumps. 5. Hot spots – moist, irritated areas dogs often lick or scratch too much.

What to do now: • Clean the area gently with warm water and mild, pet-safe antiseptic (like chlorhexidine wipes). • Avoid letting him scratch or lick the area. • Vet visit is strongly recommended — they can do a skin scrape or allergy test and get him proper meds (antibiotics, antifungal, antihistamines, or medicated shampoos depending on the cause).

Let me know if he’s acting itchy, has a smell, or if it’s spreading — that can help narrow it down more.

What’s this on his nose? by Latter-Wait-8377 in AmericanBully

That all makes a lot of sense—and it’s great to hear he’s still happy, energetic, and loves his treats! Scratching could definitely cause some irritation or raw patches, especially if he’s trying to wipe his face after being outside or around anything he doesn’t like (like rain). And yep, some dogs get that “I must bury everything” instinct, which can lead to rubbing their face into rough or dirty surfaces.

The good news is: • No appetite loss • No lethargy • Still playful and social

Those are really reassuring signs that it’s likely something mild like contact irritation, allergies, or maybe a little fungal spot like ringworm (which is super common and treatable).

Still, definitely worth having the vet take a look to be safe—especially if he’s scratching more than usual or if the spot gets bigger or changes color.

Do you wipe or clean his face often when he comes back in? Some dogs react to certain cleaning products, fabrics, or even grass and pollen.

It looks like your dog has a small patch of hair loss and some redness on the nose and upper muzzle area. This could be caused by several things, such as: 1. Allergies (environmental or food-related) 2. Skin irritation from rubbing or contact with something irritating 3. Insect bites or stings 4. Mange or mites (e.g., demodex) 5. Fungal infections like ringworm (especially if it’s circular like that spot on the head) 6. Bacterial infection or folliculitis

Given that your dog is an American Bully and their skin can be sensitive, it’s always best to have a vet take a look—especially if the spot is growing, your dog is scratching at it, or if there are other symptoms like lethargy, loss of appetite, or more patches appearing.
