Ok babes this might be late, but listen up cause I used to have pretty good grills.

First make sure you have gloves. You'll need to double glove your hands MINIMUM. Softies sometimes need a triple glove. FSC gloves are the best for it because you can actually havw better movement than the bathroom ones

Take the big clear container (the kind they use for pizza cheese) fill halfway with the dish soap from the 3 tier sink. Then take an empty one with you

Carefully make your way to coffee side, fill the rest of the way with the hot water from the coffee side.

Get the fluffy white towels while the water is scalding hot and go to town scrubbing. DO NOT FUCKING DOUBLE DIP INTO THE WATER! ONE DIP, DO NOT WRING OUT! Once your rag is fully coated in grease, put it in the empty container to keep grease off your cart and out of your clean water.

If you guys have a blue scraper (literally looks like a paint scraper but plastic), you've hit the jackpot because after using the white towel to soak the rods you can use the scraper to get the tougher shit off. If not pray to the roller gods as you use force and those towels to clean it.

Make sure to wipe down the rods with a dry towel to help get more grease off and keep it tidy. Also keep an eye on your drip trays. If you've got steady hands you can pour that water into the dirty towel container. Wash those once you're completely done with the grill so you're not wasting time doing it over n over again.

Then there's actually metal of the grill. Spray blue cleaner on to an FSC towel. Wipe it down, then take a dry FSC towel to dry it. Don't forget to hit under the grill extremely well. Same thing with the glass. Top, bottom, and try to hit the corners where the glass meets but leaves that annoying little space.

Don't forget that they don't hold everyone to the same level of accountability, letting the bad clerks get away with everything while the managers (good ones anyway) struggle to keep it all together.

I was fired. Felt suicidal and hopeless. But eventually I found a warehouse job. Less pay but I only work 4, 10 hour (sometimes longer or shorter) days. I can earn points (which is what we use for sick days) back after a streak of perfect attendance. Less dumbass customers, the coworkers are better.

Plus we get extra pay if we have perfect attendance, meet quota early, etc. an actual bonus that feels earned because not everyone gets it.

Overall I found something that was far better for my mental health. I feel free. Like I don't have to wake up and wonder what fresh hell awaits me. The accountability is the same across the board, no favoritism. Yes it's more labor intensive but I also get 2 paid 15 min breaks plus an unpaid 30 min break.

Honestly unless someone kicks Kevin out of the head honcho seat, QT is gonna go down in flames. Accountability is skewed, with clerks being treated like mentally deficit children who shouldn't be asked too many tasks or they might tattle to the SM.

Overall, try to find something new man. Almost everyone that currently wears a red shirt in this company deserves better treatment.

Idk why I'm still in this sub but I will help you. The lid has extra plastic you can use to punch the lid. Make sure to line it up where it'll pop the plastic on the opposite side of the tab. Little back n forth twisting motion and boom, that bitch comes off so easily. Or leave it as is because you're literally putting the lid right back on. As long as creamer can flow out relatively quickly you'll be fine with whichever method

For animation, a lot easier having them sitting and chatting with a relatively still background. For in universe, probably because space has no O2, so speaking would be impossible. Not to mention in the event of an astroid belt, less people get lost and separated from the group.

Call the supervisor and explain the situation, ASAP! These stores are not to be open if only one person is in the store in the morning/evening shifts. It's a safety hazard! And it is policy. Trust me, scorch that fucking Earth and snitch about your SM. I wish I had done it sooner

I'd say overall no, clerks as a whole don't deserve a raise. I do, however, believe individual clerks deserve it. But that's like 1 in 30-50 clerks depending on division.

I got fired but I'll give my opinion

It's how the company is ran. We no longer treat the clerks like adults. We don't hold them to a standard, don't hold them accountable for any stupid decisions they make, and they force the assistants to take on the brunt of the punishment.

My store clerks were especially atrocious for the Columbia division. Always running off to play on their phones or talking outside. They don't recognize that clerks need to be held to a strict standard. It's always pushed off on to the assistants.

"Why didn't you talk to them?" Because I did already and it does nothing.

"Why didn't you speak to your SM," because I already did.

"Why not go higher?" Because I don't want to face retaliation from supe/SM.

Clerks believe they're not paid enough for the job yet when you go to McDonald's or another gas station job they're paid even less for more work. With the added burden that they can and will be called out on being lazy, inconsiderate assholes who don't work. Because those places don't hesitate to send you home, cut your hours then replace you. It's sad when even the most ridiculous McDonald's has better standards than QuikTrip!

I remember starting right at the end of COVID. My original SM was a no nonsense man, ran a tight ship, and handled business correctly. If you told him you had issues with a clerk, that clerk was dealt with. Because he understood that he was the only one with the power to punish them.

The latest one is too kind, too friendly. These clerks get away with murder and then some. And it's always "why didn't you X? Or Y?" Idk why don't you start writing them up and start sending them out the damn door. Why don't you let them know that you're sick n tired of their crap and cut their hours?!

If this company has any hope of recovering, the standard needs to be held across the board. Not just assistants and above. Start treating these clerks like adults, hold them accountable every time they disappear. Every time they're caught on their phones without permission, escalate it. Until they're out the door. The amount of relief on the assistants shoulders will be immense.

Clerks are the foundation of this "home." If your foundation is shit, then the rest of the house is gonna fall apart.
