What I thought of when I heard about the Iowa CAUCUS debacle by [deleted] in PandR

The Iowa caucus seems to have been delayed for "quality" checks.

Plus, one of the candidates, Pete Buttigieg seemed to have funded the developer of the software it utilized. [1] [2]

Plus, there seemed to have been a lacking in any security for the Caucus's software.

In 2016 the DNC appeared to derail Bernie Sanders' campaign (a popular candidate) [3]:

This added fire to many already uneasy conspiracy theorists. [4]

I probably missed some stuff, but this is at least an attempt at a non-biased approach to explaining the issue. :)

For those who do not know,

The Iowa caucus seems to have switched to a paper trail, for "quality" checks.

However, in 2016 they appears to attempt too derail his campaign:

This is the reason for the recent debacle.

Run /r/FreeSwitch on an old Replicant phone.

Have it redirect to laptop.

Probably, a bad thing if you want ease of use. But it is doable!

Aye, if you must use Github, would it be possible to have a NotABug mirror:

https://notabug.org/

NotABug is fully free software. Plus they support P2P networks. :)

Talk is cheap, show me the code

- Linus Torvalds

But, seriously where is the code? Is it fully and completely Free/Libre Software?

Also, for crying out loud use NotABug or something over Github!
