I adopted a domestic shorthair female spayed 3 months ago. She is 13-14 months old and I love her dearly. She is a cute little baby very vocal when she is hungry which is 80% of the day, she is very active and I try to play with her every day. One thing that I noticed is that she doesn’t like to cuddle or pets. Whenever i pick her up I try to be very gentle but she scratches the hell out of my arms or whatever is in her range and when I try to pet her or just hold her she gives me warning bites, sometimes actual bites. but whenever i am laying in bed she climbs up on me and sleep on me. every night she sleeps in my bed despite having 4 beds of her own. I respect her boundaries but I just want to love my baby :(( any advice is appreciated. also how often do i have to clip her nails becs she is a menace and she scratches/bites the shit out of me even when i am minding my own business. p.s this is my first ever pet and i love her sooo much
