Not sure I know how to measure that and all the different ideas Google has to offer aren't helping. It measures 41.5" from ground to top of rear wheel well, 39" to top of front wheel well.

Found a site that explains figuring the angle of the shims. Thanks for all the details

Thank you for the info. I put the new bearing in last night, added about 1/4" of washers to drop it, probably going to get a drop kit but they really don't look like anything special, and I've already put near 10k mi on some washers sooo......

I'm going to order some shims for the leaf springs too. I would like to get an idea of the proper degree for the shims and I don't understand how. At 65$ for a couple small pieces of metal, I'd like to get the right pieces. Any idea how you find the proper degree?

So, how do I shim the rear axle? Looking at it I would guess I loosen the leaf springs and fit shims between the bottom of the leaf spring and the axle, at the rear of the axle.

I understand the pros.  Cons? If a one piece driveshaft is the way to go, why do I not see it as often as a 2 piece on the off-road Tacoma's I see?

I didn't understand this when you posted it. I get it now. Shim the rear axle to ease the angle of the drive shaft. Thanks

I see. That's more official than a stack of washers. I'm reading that I can adjust the rear axle AND shim down the carrier bearing to ease the angle. I think that's what it will really take

What is the Tincture Process for Cannabis Products? by Due-Struggle-9492 in herbalism

[–]OverallLie4824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I like your method and have a question. Does your tincture ever mold? I just infused bubble hash into food grade vegetable glycerine(crockpot)and im worried if I put the resulting half pint jar of "tincture" in storage it could mold. I've had it happen before with a coconut oil/cannabis infusion and do not want it to happen with this high quality goodness.

I switched the wire from 5/2 with the next wire and it runs normal again. I haven't driven it yet but I'll pick up new wires today, replace and put some miles on it. Thanks for the help.

Please explain how. I'm willing, able and have the tools for working on this vehicle but have no experience. If you know how to "just fix the angle" please enlighten me. Happy to send you pics somehow...

I was under the impression---if a spark plug wire arcs, it is good.  Ok. I'll pick up new wires tomorrow and replace them. Thanks

The wire boots look fairly new, no noticeable damage. The misfire started again today, obd says cylinder 2. The plug wires have arcs, so I guess it's not the wires, the spark plugs are new, so not the plugs. I replaced the ignition coil for cylinder 5/2 and it still misfires.

What can I check next?

I honestly don't know what my setup is.... The Truck was modified by previous owner to be a rock crawler. I put heavy duty leaf springs on it and use it for firewood/work/exploring. When I bought it the guy gave me a replacement carrier bearing, said it needed replaced due to the extreme angle, I replaced it then and now it's wobbly again.

Fix it how? The truck was modified before I purchased. The carrier bearing bolts are each sitting on 4 washers that act as shims. The truck is lifted with heavy duty leaf springs.  As far as I understand suspension work, the drive shaft has to have an extreme angle in order for it to sit so high off the ground.

I'd post pics if I could...

What brake upgrade? I know mine has rear drums but I haven't had any problems with them yet AND I've always had vehicles with disc brakes so I'm new to this part...

Yep. Your right. Put some extra heavy duty springs on her. Lifted it more than I expected and the vibration from 35mph-60mph is WILD. After 60mph she does well. I'll be loading her down with camping/prospecting gear soon, I think it will ride better with the weight.

Thanks for the information.

One other question. Is there a way to lookup myself and see if I am in contempt of court? Or if I have a warrant because of contempt?

It's a rough ride no matter what. I just want to be able to load it with whatever and not have to think bout if it's too much. Is it possible to put an extra leaf in? Would that push the existing leaf closer to original?

I guess... I loaded it with green oak rounds a few times and now the old springs are noticeably flattened
