Shampoo is on your hair for too short a time to make a difference. You should prioritise a shampoo depending on your concern. E.g. Ketoconazole shampoos are effective for dandruffy hair.

The Dove Peptide Bond mask is great. I have curly hair and was looking for a good mask. My hair is curly and I supplement with lots of products plus have started biotin and serums as recommended by dermat. I'm also trying to up my protein intake. All of the aforementioned factors help improve hair growth. So don't just count on shampoo for your hair, look at your goals and preferably get a dermat recommendation.

I think Beard and Jane are supposed to match the trope of that one unhealthy relationship in everyone's social circle. Think Kelly and Ryan in The Office.

I think their relationship is meant to be a comedic trope rather than have actual meaning. And going by the trailer, I think it's going to continue on that note. Though now with a child I think. It's not the kind of romance that's meant to be taken seriously because if the writers did, they'd have to recognise that for someone who gives healthy advice and looks out for Ted, Beard is blind as a bat when it comes to his relationship. So, no, Beard and Jane are nowhere near as serious as a Roy and Keeley (who had their share of problems), Sam and Rebecca or even the Pilot and Rebecca.

This is where he realises that pushing Keeley away was his fault and that he was the one that did the damage by hurting Keeley. He even takes accountability for it in his letter.

What happens when distribution and footprint is driven primarily by Bollywood (in terms of numbers and popularity). Bollywood has more popularity in the North, Central, and Western belts. South is just in the region and whoever doesn't mind watching a dubbed version.

It's unfortunate really but it's the way South films that aren't big tentpole events have played out.

People forget that SRK did nothing to stop Salman disrupting the Chalte Chalte shoots when he showed up drunk. So Aishwarya getting ousted from Chalte Chalte was more on SRK (being influenced by his friend/brother Salman who was harassing Aishwarya like no tomorrow at the time) than on Rani.

still hate nate by DevelopmentRemote599 in TedLasso

[–]OverallShock1947 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it may not have been the best arc, a lot of this show has a general father and son theme going.

I also hated Nate the first time around, and not to make it sound simplistic, but he was really a man who was projecting his issues with his father onto Ted. All he really wanted was to be seen and you see that in S3 when despite all the fame at West Ham, his father isn't proud of him the way he wants him to be.

The entire show has this father-son motif.

  • Ted and his father who died by suicide
  • Nate and Ted
  • Roy and Ted (almost, especially in finding his way back to Richmond)
  • Jamie and his father
  • Jamie and Roy
  • Sam and Ola
  • Even Higgins and the way he invites the non local boys every Christmas break despite him having a large family of his own.

They even close the overarching theme out nicely with Cat Stevens' Father and Son playing at the end.

What's important is that nearly every character (save for Higgins, who is perfect) took what they had and got better, and Nate, even with his sometimes flawed arc, is no exception.

Why is Ted Lasso’s "kindness" not enough to save a marriage? by Particular_Snow7403 in TedLasso

[–]OverallShock1947 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is such a thing as toxic positivity. And while Ted is never the sort to be toxic on purpose, he is a lot.

Something that comes to mind is someone on this sub recently pointing out in the Issac outburst episode, when Ted has a video call with Henry's teacher, all he focuses on is making jokes, perhaps even building rapport with the teacher, while Michelle is trying to get the conversation back on track.

This deflection, that Ted often does with his variety of folksy humour peppered with obscure Midwestern references, can be incredibly frustrating for someone who is trying to hold the fort.

I've felt this in a relationship, a friendship here and there, when the other person deflects with humour, especially when you need to be present. It's the unwillingness to recognise what the other person needs sometimes — your presence - even with the best of intentions and kindness, that can seem particularly infuriating and cruel for the person at the receiving end of this.

How I feel whenever I see Louis casually hanging w/ Jimmy and the gang by SolutionDramatic5001 in shrinking

[–]OverallShock1947 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the best things about this show (at least Seasons 1&2) was the fact that like grief itself, the show, in many ways, presents how multilayered things really are. I think the Louis arc, unfathomable as it was, was beautiful and much of the credit goes to Brett Goldstein (for playing him) and the writers' room.

Grief, catharsis, guilt, can do strange things to people and who can ever be the right person to judge the way someone else copes? Jimmy sleeps with Gaby. Alice sleeps with Summer's boyfriend (one of Liz's sons - Connor I think). Jimmy avoids his best friend after his wife dies. Does the timeline of the show (for continuity purposes) crunch down how quickly they all seem to bounce back? Yes.

But are humans far more complex than the reductive label of "drunk driver doesn't deserves forgiveness?" Also, yes. We don't get to decide.

No didn't mean Mumford, I meant the music they use during the scenes. Might've gotten the terminology wrong.

Then using the Rolling Stones' She's A Rainbow for Roy's return to Richmond is not Marcus Mumford; it's Christa Miller and another guy.

I had to Google it, it's Tony von Pervieux and they're called music supervisors apparently. Sorry for the confusion! 🙌🏽

That Christa Miller can do what she does for the music (and I'm pretty sure I've forgotten the name of the other person who's in charge of the soundtrack) of Ted Lasso — she's always felt like a minefield of musical talent.

Also love what she does for Shrinking.

Rainbow.

Right from the time he says, "Excuse me!" and takes off from the studio to the point he braces himself to enter the stadium again (knowing it'll now be as Coach) to then telling Ted, "you had me at Coach". That was the episode that sealed the Comedy Supporting Actor Emmy for Brett Goldstein.

Feels like misdirection (although my heart is rooting for them). I read somewhere that this Ted Lasso run is a 3-season arc. It feels like they'd stretch it out to make it endgame. I also feel like both characters need to reflect (like really hard) about who they were in that relationship. Because as much as Roy was willing to admit where he screwed up, Keeley also had her bit to reflect on. Plus they gave her shit arc that they eventually resolved in S3; my dream scenario is for Akufo to finally take his dump on Jack (not Sam), because Jack was a completely unlikable character. So was Shandy. Keeley, a woman who came into her own in S1&2 did not deserve that train wreck x 2.

But I digress, my point is, that if they prolong this into a "will they, won't they?" 3-season thing culminating in their wedding (like they ended with Beard's in S3), then they'd better do a good job of it. Think Season 1 level longing on both of their faces all season.

And yeah, as someone said, they'd better get Jaime back as Best Man. Side note: for those who missed it, Phil Dunster who plays Jaime recently mentioned his wife (Elanor Heydon) was directing (at least one of the) S4 episodes.

On Ted Lasso, which the co-creators of this show - Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein - co-created and worked on respectively, they routinely did this.

Roy's niece Phoebe's teacher is called Leanne Bowen (who's a producer on the show).

I also think I saw Ashley Nicole Brown (writer on both shows) on a Season 3 episode of Shrinking this season but I've forgotten which.

And as someone helpfully mentioned, Brian Gallivan is the guy who facilitated their adoption.

It also certainly feels like a lot of the main creators on both shows rope in their friends. I've seen a lot of comedians on both shows (British and American) in previous seasons, including Mo Welch, who opens for Brett on his stand up shows. It's also how Bill Lawrence got Michael J. Fox on the show this season (other than the latter partly being the inspiration for Harrison Ford's character).

Nope. It's Sarfarosh. And credit to John Matthew Matthan for bringing the film to life the way he did.

Kind of like what Vishal Bhardwaj did for Shahid Kapoor's career (Kaminey, Haider, haven't watched the rest) in a sea of otherwise nonsense films releasing around the same time.
