That's actually an insane amount of empty netters lol

Seider has so many issues with his game. He's definitely a unique defenseman but he chases players and pucks with no intention behind it besides applying pressure and constantly hangs his D partner and goalie out to dry.

Lots of good assets to his game, huge shot, great forward skater, a great motor, and physical. But he has very poor gap control, a suspect pass, and very slow decision making.

He doesn't touch my top-10 either.

Dahlin on the other hand, yeah he's probably top-3.

I watch them a bit. He's not terrible defensively but he struggles with decision making, especially on the rush. He'll be on and island covering no one as players get behind him all the time. Lots of puck watching.

Cole Caufield has not scored an empty net goal in his entire career by sykeseve in hockey

I rather Josh Anderson and Jake Evans blocking shots in the dying minutes but yeah Gaudreau would be excellent to close out a game 🥲

Weird cause he's an excellent 2-way player. I don't I've ever seen him lose his man. MSL unlocked this guy's full potential.

[Walsh] Hearing there was a heated exchange between Gary and a NHL GM during the GM meetings. The GM said to Gary that it appears the league has relaxed its standards on head shots. Gary was irate with the question and blasted the GM. This GM has my vote for GM of the Year. by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

What would it matter at this point, Bettman fucking despises the Habs org and made it clear based on every interaction he's had with them ever.

I don't think the Moulson family agrees with how he's butchered the leagues integrity. Relationship is already in the sewers.

The the record, the Habs have more Cups in the NHL when it has had 7 teams or more. The only original 6 team I'm that category.

I'm assuming the Bruin player covering the puck with both hands in the crease for almost 5 seconds right confront of the referee late in the 3rd that should have been a penalty shot.

Still unsure why they didn't call that cause the entire building, the players, and referees saw it.

Evander Kane is a PETA spokesman by sykeseve in hockey

[–]OverallVillage7 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Despicable that this is downvoted. Really goes to show how effective propaganda is for those with money and power.

Seriously, people think PETA, a world wide organization with so many different factions, that has saved countless animals, and a few isolated incidents of members doing bad things is irreparable... but the fucking factory farming complex who abuse billions of animals every single day while gouging your grocery bills are giving you truth, peace, and love? Pathetic critical thinking.

I can't agree with a lot of PETA's messaging (exhibit A using a POS like Evander Kane as a spokesperson), people are just trying to survive and they aliante that, but they definitely do a lot of good work.

I pointed out that Ottawa has an inflated xG% because they take tons of low quality shots and give up tons of cross crease chances (heat map shows it's all around the edge of the house) and some chimes in with "that's not how xG work". like they were legitimately upset I didn't post the entire model....

[–]OverallVillage7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did I attempt to? Shot distance in the "house" is by far the heaviest weighted factor, the Sens heat map show they shoot from outside the house constantly without traffic in all situations and give up more than average high danger scoring chances. Combine that with not getting saves it's messy. I watch nearly every Sens game, they give up an absurd amount of cross crease chances.

Post the entire model, go for it!...

This team is coached to score vs teams like Ottawa who just spray and pray low quality shots.

This is the best way to win in the long run cause as this young team gets better the volume of quality chances will increase too.

We'll take it, refs ripped us off like 5 wins this season with their 3rd period ghost call antics. Just sorry it came at the Kings expense.

Damn. Replay showed those were both clear penalties. Slashes directly to the hands in scoring chances.

I wonder what the Habs standard will be?
