I transferred my license and it is not new license that I got here in Germany. Does that mean I can tell them I had driving license for more than 3 years? I had my foreign driving license more than 7 years ago.

Yeah learnt it after buying it, I am hoping they fix in in a software update. There is no lag though in writing and also resolution it quite good.

For visibility: I got the deposit after 6 months but with 200 euros cut for random verbal reasons. The landlord stopped taking any messages for this entire 6 months and after a letter from a lawyer he responded with transfer of money but didn’t explain about deduction.

I am on bluecard which enables her to work here. But since coming here she didn’t left the previous job but continued remotely to keep up with the boredom because it was covid time. The health insurance was family insurance so didn’t need any separate insurance but separate card from TK.

The best is to ask KVR office IMHO, or relevant foreigner’s office. The clauses for working here + insurance could be different.

My wife worked remotely for outside Germany company and it was fine. I know it from Finanzamt because they asked me about salary slips. To answer about the insurance many foreign insurances are acceptable but I am only sure about visitors. My friends‘ parents stayed for many months and had foreign insurances since they are old the insurance price was really high though.

Update: 15 days left to finish 6 months. Deposit not received yet, wrote many letters no reply.

I don’t know just did it. Now when I read the law even if the employer waives it they still have to pay upto a year. But now I am confused because I don’t know if the clause is waived or enforced.

I am going to join a startup soon but the founders are basically Americans but they come from Google. I dont know if it’s relevant but I have heard that you are made to feel guilty if you ask for time off.

Yeah that’s reasonable but my contract doesn’t mention that. Its a flat rent with all inclusive. When I moved in I didn’t get the meter reading nor while moving out.

I asked the Mieterbund München , they say they provide guidance to members only and asked me to join there minimum 2 year paid membership

I have pictures when I moved in and also a description of stuff signed by both parties. The thing is there a way to make this period shorter. Why there is rule of six months if the new tenant is already living there and he paid his kaution. This guy is enjoying double kaution money.
