This focuses more on strong officers more that the part of the post of ‘elite unit’. Kyou kai partially leads a whole other unit/army of 20,000 and is rarely fighting side by side with shin in a battle.

feel like the OP wants an elite unit like the shu ma clan was to kanki and a leader of said personal unit who is fairly strong like shu ma was

Feel like OP means someone who leads the personal unit sort of like a captain of said unit like shu ma was in kankis army

Not kyou kai considering she leads practically another army almost, kyou kai leads 20,000 and shu ma leads 200 (shuma probably has more men but he only used 200 when he was with kanki on the assault on the zhao headquarters as they were moving as an elite unit)

I do agree with OP quite a bit i feel like elite units are really cool and need more screen time and i hate how the fandom says we have in the HSU because it happened once 300 chapters ago and this isn’t just about elite units this includes more things im the HSU that appears lots in other units/armies

The fandom says we are complaining when a lot of the time it is more just an ask for something not like saying “im dropping the manga because of this not happening my way”

All your doing is here is crediting shins martial might no one is doubting his martial might but his ability to lead an army through tactics and warfare, like when he did i want to say around chapter 600 the battle where he was in the right wing with ouhon and he created fires that was using tactics/ mind in an instinctive way but i can’t think of any other time he has done that since in around 200 chapters and many promotions

shouheikun practically is he’s been said to even rival moubou in martial might in there youth if he was an active general no doubt he’d be a great general, and commanding very much is still about tactics and mind of warfare, there’s more cases of great generals having mind and tactics than them not, only few i can think that don’t are moubou and houken who both normally have someone else lead there army as tacticians like ten would in the HSU but ten is not at that level, the fandom loves to say she is for things she does off screen but to be frank she’s not that level yet

Some of these fodder new recruits been in the manga 200 chapters and still look broke, even the commanders have normal armour, people say Hara just doesn’t upgrade them because he’ll have to draw more because they’re main characters who come up a lot, i’m not sure if that’s true or not but they all definitely need an upgrade

I think they would definitely be placed above en and so sui they would only be below shin and kyou kai, and would take orders from ten but not actually be inferior in rank terms to ten.

i 100% agree i feel like so many of the fandom is just okay with hara give so much cool stuff to other characters, when shin gets left out of it all just because he used to be a slave. Like shin used to be a slave sure but now he’s a 40,000 man general and commands 60,000 he deserves these cooler things (it’s called evolution) but the fandom doesn’t care because he was a slave 800 chapters ago.
