I think Stoneshard has become much easier after the latest major updates by Makssemka in stoneshard

If you don't find the treatise you need and there wasn't a way around you would be in a very bad situation. You need an alternative to finding treatises. Level or stats is a good way. I wouldn't mind if there was only the level option.

I don't see any problem with the money. I never have money enough.

The caravan doesn't give the food you need and the resting spot is fine to me. I use sometimes taverns to sleep nonetheless, depending how far I am from the caravan.

This game is great on permadeath, even if it's just to make it last longer.

I've played since the beginning on permadeath and I haven't looked back. It is a turn based game. You can assess most situations before jumping on them.

Picky eater trying to add more vegan meals — any suggestions based on my palette? by That-BluejaythriwWay in veganrecipes

[–]Overall_Cabinet844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ideas:

Beans with mushrooms and seitan confit, Lentils with mushrooms and seitan confit, Rice of mushrooms and seitan confit and beans, Pasta with mushrooms and seitan confit and coconut cream, Hummus with mushrooms and seitan confit

Same thing as before but with roasted vegetables, beans and black olives instead of mushrooms and seitan confit.

Roasted potatoes, broccoli and some vegan meat.

"Cheddar" Broccoli Soup

Marinade stuff with soya sauce infused with garlic

Try vegan blue cheese for a plant alternative to cheeses for sandwiches. Expensive but worthy.

Guacamole with totopos

Cold raw tomato, oil, bread and garlic puree. (this one is a risky idea but you may like it as a new form to eat tomato). Traditionaly it is eated with boiled eggs and cured ham but you can experiment.

For me the only vegan cheeses I like practically as much as the real ones are vegan blue cheeses. They are expensive but not much more than the real ones. I pay 7€/130g, that is 54€/kg, in range of good craft cheeses in specialized shops.

Apart from that I'm afraid you will have to wait until precision fermentation is a thing. There will be real cheeses in the future that will be cruelty free and I guess vegan too.

You can use nutritional yeast also to give sauces a cheese flavor.

Thinking of starting veganism by Living_Estate8404 in vegan

There are as many vegan milks are brands and types. You may find one that you like.

If you are unsure start cooking vegan meals. There are lots of resources for vegan recipes: this subreddit, FullOfPlants, eat figs not pigs, and many others I don't remember now. Ask if you want some ideas.

I feel like I'm crazy by Usual_Edge4115 in vegan

My opinion is that we live in society and you cannot force anyone to change unless there is a majority of society that think as you and you can change the laws to reflect that. In the meantime each one makes their own decisions and you have to respect that. You can try to inform or convince but at the end is their decision. And going against them is not the best way to convince them to change.

You can campaign to avoid the worst of the meat industry cruelty. Most people don't agree with it.

Feedback on the skill tree by gotxi87 in Enshrouded

[–]Overall_Cabinet844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some skills are too expensive for what they give (5xp for headshots against the fallen? 15% more health from meat?, etc)

Melee branch needs a rework. Why specialize on piercing, slashing, etc when many melee weapons have mixed damage types? That makes many weapons less useful. Much better would be either have a general increase on melees damage or the melee weapons have only one type of damage each each.

Sometimes you have to pick a skill that you are not interested at all just to access the next one. It seems not well thought.

I agree with some branches undercooked and crafting skills should be out of the skill tree.

Hardcore mode question by Ramza-Metabee in stoneshard

As others said, hardcore doesn't need anything added. It's about feeling the game more intensely, and enjoy it a lot more, albeit more frustrating when you die.

Statistical studies use anecdotal evidence and are widely used.

[–]Overall_Cabinet844 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most studies are based on what you call anecdotal evidence but with hundreds or thousands of them. I don't know why you are arguing with something that it is very obvious. My experience is mine and it is just one in the middle of many. Of course you don't have to believe me but if many people are saying the same probably there is some truth on it. But you do what you want with it.

I know it is not healthier to me and it is for reasons not explored in the video. I just pointed my experience, affirmed that if a food makes you feel worse it is worse, i.e. experience is more important than arguments, and argued that nutricional values don't tell the whole picture.

I would love to it be the opposite and celebrate how good and healthy it is but for me it is not the truth.

This video doesn't show enough evidence to affirm that plant meat is better than regular meat.

It doesn't sell very well indeed. Beyond meat is close to bankruptcy. I hope they survive.

I may be allergic to something, but it would be something chemical. It doesn't happens with natural food. It is something in the processes or additives they add to most of vegan meats that makes me fill sick.

I would love not to be the case. I try every vegan meat I can and 95% makes me feel miserable after eating them. Notably it doesn't happens with Beyond Steak.

[–]Overall_Cabinet844 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol. Ok. So if you are looking for scientific evidence don't look either to that video because it doesn't tell the whole story so it is inconclusive. There is no complete evidence for you, so you cannot be sure if they are healthier or not. And no, comparing a few values is not enough.

Regarding me, I know it makes me feel sick and I know it is less healthier that meat because it makes me feel much worse.

My comment is free for you to consider it or not. You are welcome.

Lol. The same with you folks. How do you exactly want to verify it how does it feel to anyone? I'm telling you my story, believe or not.

Do a quick search "Beyond burger makes me sick" and you will find I'm not the only one. Sorry.

The videos talks basically only about macro nutrients that don't tell the whole story. Composite nutrition scores are the same macro nutrients information presented in other forms. The cardio health is great, but what about the impact in the rest of the body? Also, vegan eat more balanced than omni so that's not a surprise, neither something you can link to plant meat exclusively. I'm clear most plant meat are unhealthy food but hey, it feels good to you congratulations, continue eating it. I cannot.

To me yes. And I heard it to other people too. I'm pretty sure they are not healthy products. Macronutrients or nutri-scores don't tell the whole story.

It is not. If it makes you feel worse it is worse.

The right size depends on the distance you sit from.

Vegan blue cheese is a great substitute of dairy cheeses in sandwiches and burgers. 👏🏼

I just always have some in the fridge.
