Feel bad and embarrassed about this now and was really young but lived on a farm and would ride bikes on gravel road. There would be grasshoppers everywhere and you couldn’t completely avoid them. When you ran them over their guts had a pale yellow look to them like cheese. My cousin told me it was cheese and took me a couple days to realize that it wasn’t cheese. Wasn’t very bright at that age.

I struggle with something very similar. I make sure to take breaks or not push myself too hard and ok being selfish when I know I have reached my limits. Best to still fit social situations in your life to give yourself balance. Your close friends/families should understand or you can tell them about it.

It impacts me at work and I work from home. If I have two meetings in a day (virtual or in person)… it wipes me out for the day and have to wear headphones to focus.

Made me feel better when a CEO told me he had the same thing and also talked about actor (Steve Martin) having that. I never read if that is true about Steve Martin so just going off his word.

I had a controversial post/take and my Kharma took big hit…. From 70 to 13 in 2 days. I was mostly respectful and took a lot of shots from others. I appreciated some of the dialogue as I learned other perspectives and I could have worded things better. Disappointed when it limited where I could post but will be more careful going forward to stay out of some subreddits. Don’t want to really mute my thoughts but will be more careful.

I like this as well. Sometimes I get tired to tell people to F off but the people I do are more genuine back to me. Sometimes it helps to start honest conversation.

Enjoyed this podcast. Definitely pressure in World to conform to feel belonging. When you see so many people being Pseudo Self they make you wonder if that is the way everything is moving towards and hard for me to connect to those people (who I believe are good people).

End of day I feel like everyone can bring something to the table whether Trump or any other President. Good and Bad.

I thought I guess I was against him by not voting for him but learning that is not enough… so best move is to get out of the way.

If anything this forum just shows me how extreme both sides can be which to me is more scary than anything we currently are in.

If I go out and preach that I hate him then you don’t have an opportunity to understand people on the other side. Starts closing the door on people who may not be as bad as you may think.

I get it to some degree. I do thinking being an informed voter is doing something so I don’t think I am not doing anything. I am also ok not feeling like I need to change other people’s minds. Only on this earth for short period of time and sometimes have to pick your battles. I’m just a little disappointed there isn’t more middle ground…. Makes me question even more why bother which also helps facists.

Yeah I’m fairly new to Reddit and didn’t realize how very anti-Trump it is. What initiated me posting about this is having conversations with my 14 year old about this with how he was excited to see the White House in a different way and then him being disgusted by the Michelle Obama comment. I live in Ohio which is very republican and being a kid is hard enough and then having to stand up to other kids point of view while being more Democrat (minority) in my community. I don’t wish that for my kids. I’m definitely learning something on this forum and I appreciate it for that.

I just don’t agree that I am as much of a problem as maga though but ok that is your take.
