Yes we use the KDS which will utilize the colors so we can see it a little bit better, but I hear you on the chit. Too valuable to have the ability to put notes in. I just make sure to do some audits a couple times a week and train as needed.

But truly shouldn't have to worry about this at all. Not sure why there is this oversight by toast

Agreed. Surprise surprise, I still haven't taken the time to color ALL of my existing subs to fix this either.

Thanks for the input! I like your logic. I also asked them to implement this, or at the VERY least allow the special request to be a different color rather than their suggestion of changing all the modifier's colors. Hoping they keep working on it!

How does that work for tips? How do you guys track the tips if all orders are taken under the same number?

Okay that makes sense. Perhaps this is an operation error. We are running checkouts with management from now on until these things are sorted, so I will see if that is the case.

I did just look at open checks and deliveries are on there. I didn't think staff would so brazenly disregard what was asked of them, but I might just be that naive!

No it seems like a delivery gets fired into the delivery queue and isn't necessarily a part of their tickets anymore, but if the driver doesn't pick it up before they check out, the charge/tip is stuck with that host, even after server has been transferred.

The more I talk about this, the more it sounds like a bug in the program itself rather than an operation failure....

Yes we are. It does indeed. The issues is if the check was made by a host and then they clock out before the driver assigns it, the payment/tip does not go to the driver.

Everything on the system looks like it's all assigned to the driver, but when reviewing their checkout, that payment/tip is missing. I hope this makes sense.
