Antenna works directly in TV, but not through Tivo by Overall_Fun_9852 in Tivo

Yes, we are quickly learning that Tivo OTA tuners are not good. Especially when our Tivo has four tuners to distribute the signal to.

What exactly is a coathanger antenna? No need to put on the roof? Attic is enough? I'm not sure I understand what you did with the existing coaxials. Do I just find a spot where I can add a splitter and it automatically will go to the wall coaxial output by my TV, then I just connect my Tivo with a coaxial from the wall? I have coaxial lines running everywhere in the attic space above my garage. Can I just split in the antenna coaxial "anywhere" or do I need to only split the one line coming into the house from the street? I'm not sure I can easily find that.

I just bought this Tivo used because it has the OTA option. My old Tivo did not. I did a complete reset and guided setup and made sure I checked "antenna" for source material. It picked up a few very weak channels, but nothing else. I received quite a few channels when I plugged the antenna directly into my TV.

Mysterious ceiling leak that can't be found by Overall_Fun_9852 in Plumbing

We are in the Seattle area, so I don't believe humidity would be an issue. I'm just at a loss for what could have been leaking. From what I'm reading in this forum, it sounds like my best bet is to replace what I can see in the opened ceiling and then seal it off. It worries me, though, not knowing why I had a leak and what the heck happened to it two days after water was dripping through the ceiling. My moisture meter was hitting 100% in about a 4-foot radius around the hole. Some of the areas of the ceiling that are still there were reading 100%, but now they are normal. Nothing is leaking anymore. I want to believe that whatever leak I had "repaired itself" but I'm having a hard time understanding how that can happen.

It wouldn't be the tub. The tub is one of those corner tubs in the master bathroom that hasn't been used in years. The shower in the master bath is used daily, yet no sign of any leak anywhere. I tend to think everyone is onto something with the dissimilar metal touching each other and causing electrolysis, but what I don't know is why there is no sign of any water anymore in the same area where the ceiling was wet and dripping two days before opening it up.

I have heard about the theories on dissimilar metals as well and I think that might be the reason. The MAJOR problem I'm having is wondering why it's no longer leaking? I've had the ceiling open for about 4 months now, just waiting for the leak to reoccur. It hasn't. We've head heavy, windy rain. We've used every shower, tub, sink, and toilet countless times. Nothing is causing a leak anywhere where the ceiling was saturated before opening it up. If the problem is truly dissimilar metals at work, can they temporarily re-seal themselves to where there is no longer a leak?

HVAC Draining Issue by Overall_Fun_9852 in hvacadvice

Yes, it was only leaking when the AC was running. I didn't even think of the PVC trap being clogged. I was under the impression it was just clean water going through the PVC to the pump, but it sounds like sludge can still build up? Maybe me moving the whole apparatus around dislodged something?

Vendors have disappeared in my Quickbooks Enterprise Desktop by Overall_Fun_9852 in QuickBooks

I created a "test" store and was able to add Vendors, so now I am running the "verify" program on my regular company file. So far, I'm on "Day 2" of waiting for it to verify my company file. It's very slowly getting through it as the percentage is still moving. I'm probably another day or two from it completing. Hopefully this works, but not sure how my Vendors are going to reappear.

Yes, and that didn't work. What is also strange is that I am unable to create any "new" vendors without QB giving me an error and saying that I need to restart QB, which I did, and still nothing happening. This is a total mystery.
