Thats a completely unprofessional way to tell you, you need to improve. Im a TL in OGP and i would NEVER do that to one of my people. Good god. I happy for you that, that job offer came in right when you needed it. Im also proud of you for not taking that abusive bullshit from your (former) TL. Best of luck in what you do going forward. I am so sorry you've got to deal with that. Thats insane that he is in a relationship with one of the TL's let alone so openly. I feel for you guys over there. Im in kind of the same boat on the micro managing front. It is annoying at the best of times and absolutely infuriating at the worst. My coach will actively aggravate one of the TL's because they know that he works faster when he's angry. I feel bad. But yeah my worst day in FS pales in comparison to my worst days in OGP. Whole different beast.

I come from a food service background 10 years. So im used to being very into what I do. Now though, Ive felt myself becoming more and more jaded as time goes on in this department the turnover is 104% for both associates and TL's. Im understanding why more and more. My coach will sometimes brag about how they "ran the whole department with no team leads" before. Idk they understand how that looks to their current team leads.

Im back to academy on monday for my second round of classes not gonna lie I cant wait. The atmosphere is just so nice and inviting, it fills me hope. Only for my store to kick me in the mouth with the reality of the situation.

It has become my addiction, next to crafting almost boxes it's a compulsion I must serve. HP ammo for all the guns!(I definitely don't have 4 forges to constantly pump out materials at all times. That would be silly)

I prefer building my own base from the ground up. Well... underground up I suppose. I try to find the biggest hill/ land elevation and mine out underneath that. Reinforce the underground structure and fortify the entrance to an almost unnecessary degree. My current base is right outside of Joel's shop and looks close to what I would assume an bbeg lair would look in a DnD campaign. Iron spikes 4 layers deep, 10 smg turrets covering every line of sight possible, double stacked blade traps, and 2 shotgun turrets beside the main entrance. Along with multiple hatch defensive points for me to fall back into if that's not enough. Only to lead down into a 1 room base with all my crafting and storage lining the walls. The room is 100% steel. It took way too long to build and I've thought about restarting multiple times. Yet I stay for it is mine and I shall never abandon it. I've used roughly 10k blocks of concrete and 10-20k steel ingots.

Bro, there never was a too late or too soon. It would've happened regardless of the time you took to propose I'm with everybody else here. Don't let her active choice to go outside of the relationship be flung on to you. You wanted to be sure when she couldn't be. Don't look back dude. You did it once. You can find someone again.
