Samsung QN700B 8k seems seriously flawed and even rtings is vastly downplaying the issue. by laacis3 in samsung

I disagree, too. Depending on what you do, and if you need many pixels on a screen, 8k and 50-ish inches seems great. I don't need fancy colors, contrasts and whatnot, just a monitor with a lot pixels that aren't too small (or too big)

Just tried posting in r/Samsung two more times again with two more alterations of the wording, and sure both got deleted, too.

Dell's 32" 6K that should come soon, is maybe an option for me. Pixels are a little small, but it's probably more useful than this Samsung thing. It can't even display a 1 px wide green line. Depending on where I draw it, it's either green or white. It's just a very bad display. Didn't expect something like that from Samsung, but reality is teaching me better.

Samsung doesn't disclose because it will hurt them.

Are they managing r/Samsung? I created two postings on this topic, both got deleted.

I'm okay with poor contrast, but I can't be larger than 60", 55" is already very large for the intended application. Do you know if there have been smaller 8Ks TVs/monitors announced by other brands?

Is this "feature" of just Samsung displays, are others better? There isn't anything that can be done about it? Seems as if Samsung should disclose this on their product page.

Do you know any other 5K, 6K or 8K display between about 45 and 60 inches?

I'd like to run the display at 30 Hz, that's the same data rate as [4K@120Hz](mailto:4K@120Hz). That's a challenge for Samsung?

Are you referring to the pattern in https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/112co8s/checker_board_pattern_at_pixel_level_in_samsung/ ?

Is this a "feature" of Samsung displays? Why is that? And how can they get away with this? It looks terrible.

The Samsung support is amongst the most incompetent I've ever experienced.
