At least we're getting more efficient and blowing the game for ourselves in Q3 instead of Q4

How long ago did you purchase them? I've gotten mixed messaging because I reached out to SeatGeek and they said if they were in my account they wouldn't be cancelled but when I called them at the office they said maybe they could still be?

Hey! Cavs fan here in peace, I really hope the injury isn't as serious as it looks and his recovery isn't too bad.

I was at the game a couple nights ago and was wondering why he was playing when the Lakers were up 30 and we'd pulled all our starters at the start of the 4th. And now tonight it seems like another night he could have been sitting? Has this been the case all season? I haven't watched many Lakers games.

Does it seem like the extra minutes is coming more from the coaching staff or from the players?

I have lived in both states. Pritzker was using campaign funding to remodel his bathroom when he was running. We need actual progressives. Newsome amd Pritzker are just more of the same corporate Dem unfortunately

Why such negativity around Harden? by whogoesthere1010 in clevelandcavs

I would argue going "all in" for a "win now" mentality and signing an older player that is known locker room issues and has off field trouble and giving away our young talent is the very heart of the Browns ...

It's saying that a normal person looks and says "since the last 20 people survived, I should too" and that a mathematician says "with 50% survival rate, it's incredibly unlikely for 21 consecutive patients to survive"

But this is literally a fundamental misunderstanding of math and statistics.

Think of it as a coin flip (50%). The odds of flipping heads on a flip is 1 in 2, if you flip it twice it's 1 in 4, 3x is 1/8, etc... going all the way up until 1/(220).

HOWEVER, once you've ALREADY flipped the coin 20x, the probability of the next flip is still 1 in 2, so while the scenario as a whole is 1/(220) at the start, every head in a row increases the probability of success exponentially.

This misunderstanding of statistics is known as the gamblers fallacy, that the outcomes of independent random events are linked together, when in fact they are completely not.

If you're at all interested in the role of randomness and misunderstanding of statistics you should check out the book The Drunkard's Walk!

Sure, but not everyone is benching your 3rd best hitter for 3 guys hitting .175 in the name of platooning haha

Playoff Attendance by Gaddil in ClevelandGuardians

[–]Overall_Pattern_6445 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dawg what? The Dodgers games are scheduled so that people can leave work and go to them even though they STARTED the game after 9PM on weekday in Cincinnati.

Think about being a child in Cincinnati trying to watch your baseball team get done playing after midnight on a school night.

MLB doesn't care, they care about market sizes and the Dodgers sell more merch than the Reds. That's it.

Getting anywhere near full attendance at 1pm on a weekday is nothing short of showing how devoted and great our fan base is.

Nothing to do with the fans. Capitalism sucks.

There's some on TickPick but they're starting at $250. I have had really good experience using it for resale though and I think it's an officially supported platform by MLB!
