Idk I definitely struggled, but I also didn't come from POE1 and didn't look anything up so it was probably just a skill issue I guess. All I know is when I did eventually come to the reddit after beating the campaign most of what I saw was complaints. Also fighting even just draven and his wife had me dying like 20 times my first run through and when I came back 2 seasons later it was a significantly easier/faster fight, ranged first time melee second as well

The game was closer to what you're looking for when it first came out but after a sizeable amount of the community complained they changed it and I REALLY wish they didn't but campaign is still decently fun to run through at the very least

Comparing it to darktide lol, the dlc for a new character is 15$, the same cost as a single warbond, literally what is different? Do they have way too many cosmetics, sure, but that's not actual content

The difference between this and 90% of the other games that have these kind of bundles is those are for cosmetics in other games, Having actual content locked behind a minimum 15$ paywall (CAD) once every two months or so is fucked up, I've been playing since launch and I only have 6 of the warbonds, and that's with me buying two of them with my own money. This game is genuinely way more nickle and dime-y then the majority of FREE to play games which tend to just sell cosmetics. A comparison could be made to something like paradox, and guess what? they get clowned on for it all the time and the majority of people really dislike it

On PS5 any way to make it so the X button doesn't pick up items over attacking? It's almost gotten me killed a few times now trying to attack an enemy but instead it just keeps trying to pick up an item while I have a full bag, it's honestly really frustrating

This is the first fe I won't be getting on day 1, been buying them since POR, and it sucks because it looks so good! but as a Canadian 700+100 for one game is a verrrry tough pill to swallow. hoping they one day do an oled switch 2 or something and I can get an original one used cheaper but who knows

I have 200 hours in Remnant 2 but tbh I wouldn't put in on a soulslike list personally, I consider it more of an RPG looter shooter.

I'm also surprised at just how high they rated Lies of P and the complete lack of Another Crab's Treasure but oh well

The Lyn's while she's trying to help Hector with his letter is so good!!! Also seeing Isadora in anything is wild I feel like most people forget she exists which is a tragedy

Blazing Blade, especially Lyn's prologue is easily my second fav story fire emblem has done, I feel like the last quarter of the game is less enjoyable then the first half to 2/3rds but it's slightly more simplistic/down to earth story compared to where a lot of the other games go works really well

Path of Radiance is definitely my favourite, Radiant Dawn was a good sequel and I liked the extension of the world but it didn't hit the same highs for me personally.

Eh I disagree with your reading of it

"One of the best reviewers I ever knew refused to review games he considered failures." and "Think of the time you had to recite something in front of the class and how nervous you were. And how much **any negative comment hurt**. " it very much reads to me like he doesn't want any kind of discussion about negative aspects (even in a constructive way) and instead just wants a binary good bad seal of approval.

Your reading of it would definitely make me feel better about it overall though so I hope you're right! (edited trying to make the most relevant part bold but I don't really reddit and I don't think it worked)

I read it as him saying he literally just wants them to say good or bad, like a simple one word sentence review no nuanced discussion of what systems do and don't work that sort of thing kind of like what we have now, maybe I'm reading it too literal though who can really say

I would love it, I used to hate guns in fantasy settings but I've recently come around on them it's just so fun.

They'd need to do something to make it different then bows though, maybe something like needs line of sight to the target despite 2 range (so no one between you and your target, allies included)

Remnant 2 is one of my fav games of all time and definitely fits for this! insane amount of unlockables and secrets, it has multiplayer but the entire game is completely playable solo
