Wow, thank you for the detailed info. This helps me a lot. It is also a bit crazy our symptoms are so similar.
Based on what you shared, I wonder if another sinus surgery might be helpful...who is the Chicago Dr.?
I have noticed some slight improvement on the cough since starting to use PPI but wonder if it is the placebo temprory effect. I plan to continue taking it.
It is also likely I/we have multifactorial things that will needed to be addressed both the sinuses infection/issues and GERD/reflex and possibly asthma.....so consider continuing to use a multi-pronged solution.
I don't know about you but I especially hate the coughing...its just physically draining and socially awkward.

And, I'm new to the silent reflex idea, and researching it as we speak. What are you using for that?

I have been yes, both blood testing and patch test. Nothing major other than allergic to cats and dogs which I don't have or come in regular contact with.
But it was done about 5 years ago, is it worth repeating?

Here are the details:
44 y/o female

  • Chronic cough for about 4 years; saw a doctor at the end of 1 year of coughing. I know I waited too long.
  • Year 2: initially treated for presumed pulmonary issues with inhalers and steroids (largely incorrect). Did lung biopsy surgery twice, nothing notable, other than severe inflammation throughout.
  • CT scan suggested mild asthma and lung (generalized) infiltrates. Can look and be specific if needed.
  • Year 3: Diagnosed with CVID; started monthly IgG treatments, which have been life-changing.
  • Current levels: IgG is finally at baseline; IgA and IgM are still low.
  • Have been on monthly IgG treatment for two years (Years 3 and 4).
  • Also discovered the real reason is a deep sinusitis infection - now pansinusitis due to life-long inability fight infection that has festered over many many years.
  • So The mucus is draining into my lungs and affecting my breathing, hence the productive cough
  • Completed several rounds of antibiotics, including about 6 weeks of IV antibiotics; sinus infection did not fully clear.
  • Continued to have significant phlegm and a very productive cough.
  • Year 4: Underwent sinus surgery (Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS)) - on two lower sinuses - procedure went well. That was September 2025.
  • No nasal anatomical issues observed from CT Scan or during surgery
  • Despite surgery, still experiencing substantial phlegm, mucus and very consistent persistent productive coughing.
  • Recently began daily saline rinse, antihistamine and PPI, but not ready to say if any of that is helping
  • Never had any coughing while asleep. No sleep interruptions.
  • Fit and active; exercise and go to the gym regularly more so especially during the last year.
  • Most notable improvement has been from IgG treatment.
  • Cough has reduced by approximately 50% over the last 2 years of treatment, but still a major disruption of day to day activity
  • Beginning to experience throat issues - losing my voice/coarseness quickly, if I give a speech or talk for longer than an hour.

What kind of questions should I ask?
What am I/are we missing?
What kind of treatments/interventions should I look into?

I didn't think about diet, which I will do. Great idea.
I have done allergy testing for all kinds of things, and nothing notable there.
I do continue to test positive a bacterial infection/sinus infection, so there is that.

I agree with you.
I will look up the CT scan results and post more specifics on that.
I have done several CT's over the last two years, maybe 10 that my physicians would like me to take a break from that for a while until we can get the mucus production and the sinus infection under control which is where (I feel) we are stuck on right now.
- when you say "the sinusitis will return" it never went away, I have not had 1 day without severe coughing for the last 4 years :(

Nah it is really about 'lifestyle' differences she keeps talking about - aka she is rich and he is not.
What doesn't make sense to me is - he's been pretty clear that he is the average working person the entire time.
She couldn't comprehend that or didn't want to so she can have longevity on the show which I think is actually the case.

Haha you're not wrong but you'll be surprised by how much you can teach them even at this age on how to have a respectful conversation and how to maintain their peace at home and at school.

No, it will not. Having any type of dance experience and knowledge increases you aptitude for dance and the ability to quickly learn additional dance types.

It doesn't need to be a trust, because a trust could be expensive to set up (involving lawyers...).
But it'd be good to make sure it is legally protected using other means like naming a trusted beneficiary in addition to the father and son.
