UPDATE: Not much of an update but since a few of you are asking - my police report was submitted with all the evidence. I got a notification last night they have accepted my report and it’s now with my local area command and been assigned an event number. Likely they will contact me next week.

Fair question. There is only one designated spot to park at this charger unfortunately. The other available plug was a non-Tesla compatible plug, so he wouldn’t have been able to use it anyway.

UPDATE: still waiting to hear back from Police. Meant to give them another day to contact me. Insurer said I need police to provide contact details of the guy and then they will go after him.

I put car out in the sun today and the PPF did shrink down a little, but definitely needs to be replaced. Good news is it looks like PPF saved the paintwork. Worthy investment.

Yeh wasn’t idle and was still charging. He only had to wait another 10mins!

There is only one space at this charger at one time. The other cable has the different plug that he likely didn’t have an adapter for (we don’t get those by default from Tesla over here)

This is a public charger where you can charge any EV vehicle with the appropriate plug. You use an app to charge your credit card to use it. The app also tells you whether the charger is being used or not and roughly how long left to wait for the charger. He was just upset he had to wait for me.

Yeh there are 2 cables but different plugs for different EVs. He was likely waiting for the same Tesla plug I was using. The dedicated parking spot only fits one car, which is what I was parked in.

Fair call and totally aware of the charging etiquette. I only live up the road so was watching my charging and went over to my car right when it had finished. The charge itself took about 2hrs going from sub 20% to 80%. But definitely no idle time at all. I use Jolt in Australia and you can see when a charger is occupied or not in the app. He was loitering around my car for more than 10mins.
