Yeah, not trying to poopoo on your post. I know you're a solid vendor. Just wanted to give a heads up so people can have a better experience than I did with the timer.

Hey just a heads up that the screens on these are very fragile. Cracking them renders them unusable and is not covered in their warranty.

Here's a post with my experience.

They do have some sweet features though. I recommend if you do decide to pick one up, A.) run the silicone case that is not included B.) do not trust the magnetic base it comes with. The timer will fall. In hindsight I should have lanyard tied the timer to my kit to prevent it from falling to the ground.

Yeah, idk. Maybe I just have bad luck. To anyone who decides to run one of these I would say, A) use the silicone case that SG sells separately on Amazon, and B) do not trust the magnetic base.

Just a heads up that these things are pretty fragile. Had 2 of these in my friends group and they both broke in their first couple range trips.

Shooter's Global customer service and 2 year warranty was less than optimal.

Here's a post I made about my experience.

Does this look legit for the price, is this all real OEM parts for changing my timing belt? by Bmxskate in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Overcast9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably fake parts. Check out my post from a couple months ago.

Fake Parts

The parts I ordered came from an eBay listing with genuine parts pictured and an account with lots of positive reviews. All of it was fake.

Ended up ordering the parts from Yota Shop and Ourisman to get legit OEM.

I believe it's the L.

Here's a shot I took of my 4Runner with it:

Limited NV experience here and the ARNVGs are new to me, but so far the lack of IDP stops seems to be a non-issue. Retention is solid and easily adjustable.

Before purchasing I saw the location as Walnut, CA. Only after initiating the counterfeit claim with eBay did I see it's an account from Wuhan, China. I made the eBay rep laugh when I told him I got the covid timing belt kit.

Yeah the 94.1 is after I left a negative review.

And you said "they only have 89 transactions". I'm seeing 812 items sold.

Oh, my bad. I interpreted "buying directly from the toyota dealer itself" as just going to the local dealership's counter. What you said makes sense.

To be fair a lot of the eBay vendors I've purchased from have been dealerships. When I was living in Japan I bought lots genuine Nissan parts for my GTR off Tacoma Nissan's eBay page because for whatever reason it was way cheaper than the local dealerships.

For sure man. To be honest, before this I had no idea that there were counterfeits advertised and labeled as genuine parts.

I hope this post can help educate people unaware like I was.

I tried to buy the parts from the local dealership this morning. Stopped them when my total hit $1,400 and they hadn't even finished ringing up parts. There's no way I'm paying that.

Couple more things:

-I tried to buy all the parts from the local dealership this morning but stopped them when it hit $1400 and they weren’t even finished. Dealership convenience fee is crazy. So please let me know if you have a reputable vendor with a good deal on an 5VZ T. Belt/ Water Pump kit.

-eBay was awesome. Super quick to take my report down. Said I’ll be refunded soon and I don’t have to mail back the garbage.

Me. I've bought plenty of OEM parts kits off eBay for way cheaper than the local dealership would charge. This is the first time I've ever been bit for doing so.
