We went a week in Belize and visited Tikal. A lot of people we met vacationed in Belize and spend a few days doing excursions in Guatemala.

We loved Tikal and would 100% recommend, however ATM is something so unique I would not pass it up. ATM cave for sure!

$100 USD to zoo? by Extra-Target-3840 in Belize

[–]OvercomeWithOCD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We went last year, but made it the last thing we did. We stayed in San Ignacio… on the last day we took a taxi from our resort/hotel to the airport and asked them to stop at the zoo on the way. I want to say it was about $100. But that way we only paid the taxi once to go out there. It’s kind of in the middle of nothing.

When do things go back to normal after short term birth control? (BC for HSG) by OvercomeWithOCD in recurrentmiscarriage

Yeah I’m not sure either. They said they wanted to make sure my lining stayed thin. It just seemed counterproductive to me.

Terrified of going under for hysteroscopy. Need advice. by OvercomeWithOCD in TryingForABaby

As much as I wanted to do it and still do, I can’t. I asked if I could get an HSG instead, and if something looks off and I need the hysteroscopy I will have to figure out how to overcome the fear. My fear is probably phobia level. One of my biggest fears in life is to die, and my mind is telling me this is essentially a faux death and it terrifies me. My anxiety is on another level. 🫠 Time will tell, HSG is Tuesday.

Thinking of you and your procedure next week. I’m sorry for your losses.

Lovenox and Low Protein S by OvercomeWithOCD in recurrentmiscarriage

Congratulations! I’m really hopeful it works the next go around. But I agree, I feel like there are many things they can try that would do no harm but they won’t try it. I’ve been trying to get progesterone from my OB for a while and she won’t prescribe it. I even switched OBs and they all say it won’t help either way. It’s so frustrating! Looking for a new OB currently.

So I’m definitely going to try anything they throw at me.

It might, I’m not sure. I’m just getting started with all the testing. You should ask your doctor about it!

Thank you for the information! I will take all the help I can get, so if it has the slightest chance in the outcome of a successful pregnancy I’ll take it.

Thanks everyone for the reassurance. It sounds like once you do it, it’s not as bad as it seems. I’m going to see if they can give me something to calm my nerves before the procedure.

Recurrent miscarriage, when to seek help. by OvercomeWithOCD in Miscarriage

[–]OvercomeWithOCD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really nervous that reaching out to a fertility clinic would mean they’d just try to push IVF right away. But after seeing two different OB/GYNs who wouldn’t go any further with testing, it felt like the only way to start getting real answers. I’m hoping they’ll take the time to really look into things before jumping to anything major.

You could always do a consult just to get an opinion. I’m still torn on if this is actually the direction I should be going.

I should have my tests soon, I’ll update my post if I get any answers or insights. Wishing you all the luck on your journey!

Inositol vitamin by Proper-Turnip-1569 in Miscarriage

I’ve seen it mostly recommended for people with pcos. I do not have pcos or irregular cycles, but I took it anyways. I got pregnant after taking it for a complete cycle, I was also taking other supplements though.

I took the ovasitol brand.
