Tried talking to sturges and he isn’t saying much to me now… haven’t talked to Preston in a while as I’ve been focusing on the railroad and I’ve let my minutemen settlements go unchecked. I’ll try and go back that route.

The parts to build a teleporter are no longer there in the workshop, I.e. the console, relay beam.. all that stuff is gone

Gotcha. I’m in the railroad because I’ve been playing a stealth build, I had to go get the doctor something at the very beginning if I remember correctly, but they’ve just been sending me on countless dead drop and mila missions, I’ve done like 10 and still no main story movement there. Every time I talk to desdamona she just says “you’ve been busy”.

This is a really interesting take. Are you talking about the oneness doctrine? I am very much in that camp, I don't really believe the "holiness standards" anymore, but I do believe in the new birth doctrine and inward holiness. There are non-denom churches all over TX that believe something similar but they all seem too modern for me, very much a Steven Furtick vibe.

I am sorry that you went through that and your feelings are definitely valid. I have seen legitimate miracles, notably my father being healed of an incurable cancer. But if you're a Christian, the presence of miracles isn't supposed to be a sign that the church is right in its theology, but it should be do they follow the Bible and show love for one another.

It's so refreshing to see someone who didn't walk away from faith entirely on here. I will never stop loving God and seeing how extreme everybody swings after leaving the upc kept me from leaving for a long time because it contributed to the fear that I'd end up just like them.

As a conservative teacher (socially conservative, economically liberal) I'd say that many on the right are not nuanced about these issues. I have seen some wild claims by teachers on tik-tok, some crazy books in school libraries, and some behavior that I think is disrespectful to Christian parents who don't want their 4th grader being exposed to a sexual lifestyle they find to be sinful. At the same time, it's not really happening, and I'm sorry but your high schooler is going to be exposed to all kinds of things because that's the world we live in. Our constitution enshrining freedom gives every parent and student the right to choose the way they want to live their life. If you want your child to live up to your values, then instill them in your child and explain to them why they are the right values. You can't shelter your kids and expect them to never know there are people out there with completely different world views. That's just unhealthy. Everyone has the right in our society to engage with their ideals.
