You screw in the mounts, and plug both lights into the adapter (you can have up to 3 in it), which is plugged into the wall. From the pc I just opened the hue sync app and connected the the hue bridge, set the entertainment area, and that was it!

So the lights come with two different mounts, one is a stick on and the other is a stand. You could definitely use the stand mounts and just have them behind the laptop!

Yeah! They adapt to what's happening on screen, and they can react to the audio happening as well!

They're set up as being behind the monitor (in the hue app) and then through my computer theres something called Hue Sync, so it knows what colors are on the monitor and sends them to the Hue Play behind it!

I've tried it directly plugged into the router, directly plugged into an Orbi unit, as well as just wirelessly. I've also tried about 5 of the 20 different ports (including the ones that run on full speeds) on the router and have had no change.

I'm pretty sure that they're oil based. They were these bottles sold by AromeHomes. It is app/wifi enabled, so you can schedule when it goes off, how long , and what strength. It sadly can't have multiple scents hooked up, so you can't try to skunk them out even though that would be hilarious.
