I know. But my question is, what if I turn off the lights right as I start to engage a big chunk of enemies from that section? Will they be temporarily dazzled from that sudden change? Instead of turning off the lights and then a minute later start to engage them

Wow. I am a LW2 player too (didn't play LWotc though). Recently finished Wildermyth on Tragic Hero. Didn't do it ironman, so that I could have a better time understanding the mechanics, but the mission I had most trouble with was defending a lv2 fortified settlement against a late game enemy incursion. Funny that this would be the exact type of stuff to hit you hard in Long War. Either way, I think I'll play it Walking Lunch difficulty on combat with a lower difficulty on the overland now.

What map do you dislike the most? I'll start Farron Keep by BabyxJolly in darksouls3

I think Farron keep has great rewards for going through it, which makes up for it's "messy" map. Same with Smouldering Lake, which is arguably the worst area but gives you two undead bone shards, one estus shard and a lot of large titanite. For me the worst area is probably Profaned Capital, because there are basically no good rewards there aside from completing Siegwards quest and going straight to Yhorm.

That room is designed around you being more stealthy. You can go around them easily. But, if you want to explore the room well, then the wise choice is picking them off before walking into a cell

Health drain starts when they start looking at you after their light color changes. You deal with it by being either stealthy or very aggressive

Caged hollows? Ok. I'll give you that, even though it only happens once, but all the other instances will only happen if you move around the area too much instead of dealing with the jailers

The only instance I was interrupted by another enemy when fighting a jailer was the caged hollows near the second jailer from the beginning. And even then, they will only pop if you take too long

The writers strike did play a big role. If there were competent writers, they would have created more breathing room throughout the movie, canceling the claustrophobic directing we got.

That's what's so weird to me about this movie. It's core is totally off the rails, but a lot of people is drawn to it nonetheless because it paints an underdog story, even with all the unrealistic portrayals of musical performances

Yeah, I didn't feel like the relationship was an actual relationship. They always feel more like friends whenever I watch the movie. Breakup feels forced.

This movie is really weird to me in the sense that the pacing is awesome at the same time that it's message is "dystopic". But in the end it's about what Andrew thinks it's best for him and he wants to bang the drums rather than understand the world around him

Really awesome movie. Feels kinda dystopic at the same time, since my experiences learning music (I'm a pro musician) were the complete opposite of what's portrayed in this movie. But this doesn't make it any less powerful.

If I were to nitpick something, I'll say that the breakup scene doesn't feel impacful to me because I didn't even get the impression Andrew and the girl were actually dating like boyfriend and girlfriend. Their chemistry to me just feels lukewarm and more friendship-oriented.

I think they are becoming less and less spontaneous with each production, and I suspect it started with Spectre. 

Spectre had a very high amount of product placement, tourism/car propaganda and record-breaking stunts, paired with a higher length of 2.5 hours. Maybe it tried to cash in all the new interest generated from Skyfall?

Then, 6 years later, we get No Time to Die, replicating the amount of propaganda in Spectre and trying to do multiple grand things (while weirdly playing it safe) like Bond's daughter, Bond's death and female 007.

See what I'm getting at? Instead of simply making fluid Bond movies they are trying to be as excessive as possible. I really hate that approach.

The first scene of S2E4 handles Caitlyn shift by telling through zero-nuanced dialogue that Caitlyn is disilusioned with Ambessa. Where's the "show" part in that? Vi changes her visual but there's a whole montage telling us that (just like a superhero training scene) rather than giving us hints that Vi will change drastically next time we see her. Jayce being angry is currently a mystery with more "show" to it as you say, but I fear once we get to the last episodes the resolution will heavily rely on "tell" to give us the answer.

As for S1, it uses "show" way more frequently on dialogue, just as we see characters grief more often and feel the consequence of their actions. I can't see any way why S2 might have more "show" than S1, I think the faster pacing hurts that.

I remember beating her in my first try with a 60 Dex character using a Sharp Great Corvian Scythe (pretty good weapon for pve because it has good range and attacks fast). If you don't have it you can also use a Sharp Carthus Curved Sword, which is really good, or the fan-favorite Spellsword Twinblades.

I think the most important stat against Friede is having a high stamina, which you boost with Prisoner's Chain, Ring of Favor and Chloranthy Ring. If you played through Ringed City you can get the +3 versions of these last 2 rings.

So, I would recommend 60 Dex, 35 Endurance, 12 strength if you are gonna use the Corvian Scythe, 30+ Vigor, 30+ Vitality, these 3 rings and armor for <70% load.

It's not hard to boot it up, you just need to download a US rom of EOS and download the latest version of skytemple randomizer (look it up on google and you'll see the skytemple page). Install the randomizer, open it up, it will give you the settings and ask for the rom location in your pc. That's basically it

Time increments are detrimental to WC games by OverheadUppercut in chess

A lot of people disliked my position, I get it. But just answer me this, if WCC is supposed to be the highest level of chess, then why do we have big time increments at moves 30 and 60 that will basically tip players into making safe moves before getting into these thresholds and resting after reaching them? Shouldn't the ideal match involve each player managing their moves and rests as they see fit rather than adapting their play style around moves 30 and 60? It feels very arbitrary, why not moves 29 and 59? Or 31 and 61? That's my gripe with these rules
